Happy New Year...with Seacrest in NYC! Dazzliing Vegas-style soirees!

Holly Madison & a drinkie-pooh!

While MySpace pal Ryan Seacrest excitedly rehearses for Dick Clark's wildly extravagant annual New Year's bash to unfold tonight (where one million strong are expected to trek into the "Big Apple" in NYC to toast the town) - a host of party-hearty midnight-madness revellers - are pondering where to ring 2011 in (even in the 11th hour).

Without doubt - a posse of 'em will brave the elements as they ceremoniously join in on the much-anticipated fun-filled "count-down" (naked so-to-speak) in the packed mean streets of Manhattan.

Elsewhere - in the desert Oasis - 'neath twinkling stars or stormy romantic backdrop - the madding crowds in Vegas will be toasting each other, kissing the air cheek-to-cheek, and bidding adieu to economic blues just about behind 'em.

Of course, it's a no-brainer in another respect, too.

Thousands of chic gamblers will be elegantly dressed to-the-nines - as they engage in a glorious search for an upbeat indoor soiree - guaranteed to elevate the mood and ring in Lady Luck!

The tony well-heeled elite may be trotting into a couple of the high-profile destinations listed below where charismatic hosts will be presiding over the festive proceedings:

Don't Drink & Drive...cocktail napkins in WeHo bars! Free Metro rides!

In West Hollywood this Yuletide Season, Public Safety joined forces with the local Sheriff's Department to kick off a promotion to curb driving under the influence during the festive Christmas and New Year's celebrations ahead.

Cocktail napkins are being distributed in trendy watering holes around WeHo with a timely message emblazoned on their face.

"Don't Drink and Drive!"

The main purpose is to persuade revellers to take a taxi (cheaper that a DUI) or drag along a designated drive on the night locals and out-of-towners alike hit the strip for a madcap night out-on-the gay old town!

The Center for Disease Control has reported that motorists are killed every thirteen minutes in car crashes.

Non-fatal injuries occur every two minutes.

In the event a table-hopper is too blitzed to read the message, the Sheriff's Department has hammered the point home, by parking a slightly demolished SUV in front of the Station at San Vicente and Santa Monica Blvd in WeHo proper.

The Sunset Strip Business Association has hopped on the band-wagon, too.

Tipsy-tows are being offered to single drivers in need of a lift home on Christmas Day and New Year.

The rides are free including those who are non AAA Club members.

Metro Line bus services are also free on New Year's Day.

In addition, a free shuttle service will run along Santa Monica Boulevard from 8 p.m. on December 31st to 4 a.m. on January 1st (2011).

New Year's Eve...dress up, trip the light fantastic; party hearty at Abby!

Well, another year is upon us...time to cast off the doldrums, kick up the heels, step lively, and ring in 2008 with style and enthusiasm!

Of course, New Year's Eve is the perfect occasion to dress up, turn heads, and party hearty into the wee hours of dawn. Some, will be spiffing it up with beautiful outfits, like those expertly crafted by Lola Faturoti (pictured above)

But there are many other options to choose from...

How about design whiz Max Azria's courtly, poor little rich-girl look?
It's sure to be a stand out when the ball drops at midnight. (pictured left)

The stunning, knock-out outfit by Aurelio Castarella is sure to land the fashion savvy woman in a celebrated spot in the limelight at the stroke of twelve, too. (pictured below)

And what looks good on such an elegant arm? Why a handsome young man in a designer tuxedo, of course! Go traditional fellas, or add an eye-catching vest and matching bow tie to add some pizazz to the ensemble!

But, where to go?

On short notice...try the Abbey.

West Hollywood's trendy watering hole does not have a cover and will be one of the chicest parties to be noticed at tonight.

If you have a few bucks to splurge for a live performance - featuring the entertaining "Spazmatics" & "Mouth to Mouth", for instance - try the Dollhouse New Year's Eve celebration at 1718 N. Vine Street (Hollywood) $80

Then, saunter over to the official "After party" at Tokio's hot Ultra, a hop-and-a-skip away.
(1640 N. Cahuenga Boulevard, Hollywood)

And, Happy New Year!
