Don't Ask Don't Tell...President Obama e-mails message! Senate repeals law!

Earlier today, the Senate voted 65 to 31 to repeal the controversial United States military policy - "Don't Ask Don't Tell" - which banned gays from serving openly in the U.S. forces.

The law was orignially endorsed by the Clinton Administration a scant few years ago - and has been under fire - ever since.

The lifting of the ban - a historical act on the part of the House - was made possible earlier today when six Republicans joined Democrats in a procedural vote that brought the measure to the floor.

Shortly after the news filtered in to the Tattler, I received a personal message from President Barack Obama, applauding the Government action.

The message read as follows:

Friend -


Moments ago, the United States Senate voted to end "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."


When that bill reaches my desk, I will sign it, and this discriminatory law will be repealed.


Gay and lesbian service members - brave Americans who enable our freedoms - will no longer have to hide who they are.


The fight for civil rights, a struggle that continues, will no longer include this one.


This victory belongs to you.

Without your commitment, the promise I made as a candidate would have remained just that.


Instead, you helped prove again that no one should underestimate this movement.

Every phone call to a senator on the fence, every letter to the editor in a local paper, and every message in a congressional inbox makes it clear to those who would stand in the way of justice: We will not quit.


This victory belongs to Senator Harry Reid, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and our many allies in Congress who refused to let politics get in the way of what was right.

Like you, they never gave up, and I want them to know how grateful we are for that commitment.

As Commander in Chief, I fought to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" because it weakens our national security and military readiness.

It violates the fundamental American principles of equality and fairness.


But this victory is also personal.


I will never know what it feels like to be discriminated against because of my sexual orientation.


But I know my story would not be possible without the sacrifice and struggle of those who came before me - many I will never meet, and can never thank.


I know this repeal is a crucial step for civil rights, and that it strengthens our military and national security.

I know it is the right thing to do.


But the rightness of our cause does not guarantee success, and today, celebration of this historic step forward is tempered by the defeat of another - the DREAM Act.

I am incredibly disappointed that a minority of senators refused to move forward on this important, commonsense reform that most Americans understand is the right thing for our country.

On this issue, our work must continue.

Barack Obama...is Oval Office aging the President? Grey matter...

All work and no play makes Jack a dull (grey) old boy!



When you haven't crossed paths with a person for a period of time - and then you are reuunited in some manner or fashion - the signs of changes in their physical appearance are more readily apparent at first glance.

So, I was forced to take a double-take at Barack Obama this morning on a morning network show, when his image graced the screen.

I have been quite busy with personal and professional matters - and savoring a bit of travel over the past week - so I haven't been catching his speeches (or public appearances) as regularly (as I usually do) over the past ten days or so.

I was a bit startled when I caught sight of the President this morning, therefore.

Is it just me, or has the President suddenly sprung a spray of grey hairs around his intelligent stately crown?

Though his locks are keenly trimmed close to the scalp - a hair-styling trick men often facilitate to hide silver sprouts and balding spots - it was evident to me (at least) that Mr. Obama has aged!

Just maybe, the pressures of "work" are taking their toil?

Here's a tip for the active man-about-town.

Try a quality hair "rinse", Barack.

It'll be like a breath of fresh air!

The Boondocks...uncut episodes raw on iTunes! Bleepless copy $2.99...

Controversial epdisodes of "The Boondocks" - rife with the "N" word and other naughty bill-of-fare - are being offered up a $2.99 a shot on iTunes once the notorious cartoon kicks into full-swing its 3rd season on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network).

In a novel approach, the producers are also selling season "passes" for $37.99 which grant die-hard fans access throughout the run.

The controversial show was a ratings phenomenon.

The 1st season opener generated the highest ratings for any other "Adult Swim" production over the course of a 12-month period.

2.5 million viewers tuned in to catch the episode titled:

"It's a Black President, Huey Freeman"

On average, an online audience - approximately 197,000 per episode - continues to propel "Boondocks" into the forefront of Pop Culture.

In fact, a handful of topics have triggered trending frenzies on Twitter time and time again.

Boondocks usually beats out the competition in its 11:30 time slot on Sunday evenings hands down!

President Obama...State of Union speech! Hints at what's on agenda...

Today, I received an e-mail communication fromthe Senior Advisor to President Obama outlining the highlights of the State of the Union speech slated for broadcast tomorrow night (January 27th).

According to Valerie Jarrett, the President will stand before a joint session of Congress and summarily outline "where we are" and "where we're going to be" as a Nation.

In preparation for the annual address, Mr. Obama apparently issued a directive to his Cabinet to prepare a report for the American people, in advance of the landmark political event.

Jarrett underscored in her communication that there will be short videos - which focus on progress made in the first year of  Barack Obama's presidency - in addition to a report back from the Cabinet on what lies ahead for their departments and agencies to keep America moving forward.

For example, Secretary Sebelius will talk about the Department of Health and Human Services' successes helping to prevent the spread of the H1N1 virus.

Also, Chu - Department of Energy Secretary -will highlight the thousands of green jobs they’ve created using Recovery Act dollars.

Secretary Clinton intends to detail the Department of State’s efforts to restore global partnerships.

At this juncture, the President's "right-hand", went on to note that when President Obama took office a year ago the country faced an array of historic challenges such as an economy in freefall, job losses averaging almost 700,000 a month, a middle class under assault, two wars and badly frayed global alliances.

Jarett asserts that - "when faced with these unparalleled challenges" - the President and his Cabinet got to work by taking a few bold steps to rescue the country from a possible second Great Depression, rebuild the economy for the long-term (so businesses can thrive, the middle class can grow, and all our families can be more secure) and to restore America’s leadership in the world as the U.S.  wrestles with the global challenges of the 21st Century.

Barack Obama...wild musings reveal secret agenda! Black Supremacy on horizon...

In recent days, Barack Obama has not been able to sit back content with the knowledge that under his leadership Blacks in America are equal to all others citizens around the country.

Nope!

The restless Prez appears to be on a mission to establish (if anything) that Afro-Americans are of a "special class" which sets 'em apart from any old immigrant of the common garden variety struggling to make their way in the Unites States of America today.

For example, when the PREZ confidently strolled alongside News Reporter Anderson Coooper (CNN) at a site in Africa where black men and women were once rustled up and prepared for the long voyage overseas to eventually become the property of plantation owners in the South, Obama conjectured (with a straight face, mind you) that because these Blacks entered the country as slaves - their roots were undoubtedly deeper in the Nation's soil - that those of any other mere immigrant.

Anderson Cooper's stunned silence said it all, in my estimation!

Was the most-powerful leader in the Western World out-of-his-cups or what?

A bizarre notion?

You betcha!

Understandably, Barack is losing his credibility with American voters daily.

His policies are wishy-washy, he acts like a know-it-all, and his arrogance grates the nerves.

Notwithstanding, Obama obviously has a secret agenda, though the extent of it is difficult to fathom just now.

I would hazard a guess, though, that if I were to speculate there may be a push for Black Supremacy in this country - and around the globe in the near future - that my musings may not be so out-of-line or too far off.

For this reason, come next election, Obama must be voted down.
