South Strip Towing...staff at Vegas rip-off demean tourists, abuse authority, cause undue hardship to motorists!

Chief Tony Almaraz resign, please!

After sweating in a hundred-degree weather in the mid-day sun for a couple of hours or so, a  motorist - who was suffering shortness of breath and not feeling too well - arrived at the Highway Patrol's impound unit at South Strip Towing (3255 Pollux Ave / Vegas) to recover his vehicle after an illegal stop by dim-witted Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Del Padre (Badge @ 691) resulted in wrongful seizure of the vehicle.

When the exhausted individual produced a "Drive Away" permit issued by the DMV in Nevada, a snotty little clerk in the employ of South Strip Towing, snarled at the motorist that the paperwork was not sufficient.

"You need a pass from the Nevada Highway Patrol," she barked at him.

The tourist tried to explain that the "Drive Away" permit was already sanctioned by a Nevada Highway Patrol Officer by the name of Sgt. Charles Haycox.

At this point, another disgruntled motorist in line, spoke up.

"I got the same run-around from these people and the Nevada Highway Patrol. It sucks. I had to come down here twice, take a day off work. And it has cost me. I am furious."

Then, the irate young lady lamented that in spite of the fact it was public knowledge that this tow truck facility engaged in shocking mean-spirited conduct on a regular basis, the Nevada Highway Patrol had never taken any legitimate  action to correct the situation or consider turning over the account to kind professional operators with a modicum of compassion and understanding.

In spite of the obvious misunderstanding, the clerk refused to permit the motorist to borrow their phone, so he could speak to a Nevada Highway Patrol officer regarding Sgt. Haycox's directive, and the obvious screw-up in his office at the behest of Chief Tony Almaraz.
"I don't have a vehicle. I am ill. I am just about ready to collapse in this heat. Can't you help me, please," he begged.

No way, Jose.

Then, after claiming there was no manager on the premises to speak to, the cold fish went and hid in the back of the small trailer and continued to make fun of the desperate motorists grumbling about the outrage of it all.

It was bad enough that State Trooper DelPadre  engaged in an illegal stop in Violation of the motorists rights, but worse still, to get the run-around by corrupt incompetent officers like Sgt. Charles Haycox and Chief Tony Almaraz after-the-fact.

Their motto is to protect and to serve!

Who are they kidding?

At this juncture,it's obvious they'relooking out for their own fat asses, at the expense of the innocent public-at-large.

I respectfully call for - not only Chief Tony Almaraz's resignation - but assignment of Nevada Highway Patrol impounds to a professional tow truck company that is inclined to respect the rights of the citizen - and likewise - endeavour to reat individual motorists with dignity and respect when this kind of misfortune befalls 'em at the hands of a corrupt State Trooper like Officer Del Padre.

Amen!

Arizona Immigration Law...Nevada Highway Patrol incident triggers doubts about law!

Yesterday, I was witness to shocking conduct of a Nevada Highway Patrol Officer - by the name of Del Padre (Badge # 691) - which now casts doubt in my mind on the ability of officers to act justly in a given situation when given too much free rein.

As I was drafting the post (published yesterday) it suddenly occurred to me that critics of the controversial Arizona Law may be right in their assumptions that rogue cops will abuse their authority, Violate Citizen Rights, and thereafter, engage in cover-ups to hide their tracks.

In the illegal stop yesterday (on Nevada's I-15 in Las Vegas) Office Del Padre willfully and wrongfully ignored DMV paperwork and documentation, and the rule of Law - and thereafter - deceitfully sought to destroy evidence that would incriminate himself.

In the process, an innocent Citizen was needlessly "victimized" by Officer Del Padre, suffered undue mental, physical, financial and emotional hardship, and had their rights violated in the process.

Post:  07/04/10

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/nevada-highway-patrolofficer-del-padre.html

In the aforementioned scenario that when down on the 4th of July - the motorist informed Del Padre of applicable State & Federal Laws in force across the land - but, he chose to willfully and wrongfully ignore recognized policies.

After the fact, Del Padre attempted to "destroy" evidence to protect himself from incrimination.

Can you imagine what would happen if a corrupt rogue cop like Del Padre was acting under the authority of the new Arizona Immigration Law?

I hazard a guess that people's rights would be violated left, right, and center - and that he (and Officers that run in that corrupt pack) - would persistently engage in conspiracies after-the-fact to cover-up their wrongdoing.

At this juncture, and in view of what occurred yesterday on a Nevada Highway, it is evident that the Arizona Immigration Law may have to be reconsidered.

It's obvious from Del Padre's conduct that some Law Enforcement Officers should  never be given carte blance because they lack the moral rectitude which is a prerequisiste for being granted some sweeping authority.

George Bush...11th Hour rape of environment. Prez sticks it to Americans!

One news flash noted that a bid by George Bush to drill for oil in a sensitive land preserve was turned down by the Federal Court of Appeal.

In another report, the President announced his 11th hour plan - while thumbing his nose at the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Al Gore, no doubt - to speed up new rules for oil shale development across 2 million acres in the West.
In fact, an auction has already been scheduled for drilling rights alongside three National parks, according to insiders.

Sly plans have also been set into motion to finalize changes in envronmental rules and regulations geared towards protecting endangered species, to allow more mining waste to flow into rivers and streams and exempt factory farms from reporting air pollution.

Researchers who track "midnight regulations" note that the unethical practice was highly regarded - and put to use - by Clinton and Reagan before him.

Allegedly, Bush has greenlighted 53 initiatives through the federal office of Information & Regulatory Affairs in the past three weeks.

One senior fellow (Veronique de Rugy) at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University charged that outgoing presidents have an incentive to "push bills" that the next administration won't be in favor of.

"It's your last chance to exert influence in the future."

Talk about hardball!

Obama needs to post a handful of neon signs around the White House right away.

No Dumping!

As to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, well, Bush's message is crystal clear.

Take a hike!

You don't have to read between the lines of the Court's "opinion" to fathom why.

Ruling on the 1st of several major new projects for tapping oil and gas deposits from the Arctic floor, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals said that the Federal Government should have prepared a more exhaustive environmental review before concluding that the impact on whales, caribou, and other Arctic wildlife would either be insignificant or difficult to mitigate.

Consequently, the Bush appeal was rejected.

Part and parcel to their findings, the Court - which ruled 2-1 against the Bush administration on the issues - ordered the Federal Minerals Management Agency to prepare a more thorough review.

In view of the pending change of the guard at the White House in the near future, analysts have noted there obviously won't be sufficient time for Bush to take a second crack at getting his way.

So, in the alternative, the Prez is pulling the old switcheroo on unsuspecting Americans, who have been twiddling their thumbs waiting for his term to expire with a whimper.

No, sir.

Georgie-boy intends to go out with a bang!

Although the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal decision was not a certain victory - one of the plaintiffs in the court action in opposition to the Bush camp - made a statement for the record.

"If polar bears and other ice-dependent species are to survive as the Arctic melts in the face of global warming, we need to protect their critical habitat, not to turn it into an industrial zone."

Somebody better cry foul soon - and take appropriate action - before this country is sold down the river by Bush and his cronies.

Again!

A quote by Shulamith Firestone seems appropriate under the circumstances.

"Power, however it has evolved, whatever its origins, will not be given up without a struggle."

Sarah Palin...Gang of 7 twist in wind and agree to testify!

Never throw pearls before swine...

Looks like the rug is being pulled out from under Sarah Palin.

Last week - a Superior Court Judge ruled that the legislative body assigned to investigate allegations against her for "abuse of power" - has proper jurisdiction to review the issues.

Subsequently, a lawsuit filed to block the investigation was summarily dismissed.

Up until that swift sure ruling, Palin's "soldiers" - seven scurrilous aides who have stood by their Ice Queen in the scandal that has been brewing in recent weeks - were inclined to thumb their noses at the investigation and ignore subpoenas.

That was troubling for a couple of reasons.

For starters, the "subpoena" practice was instituted by lawmakers to ensure that hostile witnesses appeared before a proper legal authority when summoned.

In addition, laws were also put in place, to penalize those who disobeyed a summons under the premise that the overt act was in "contempt of court".

If Palin and her gang of rogue aides are inclined to disobey the laws of the land in the throes of the election process, just imagine the kind of despicable illegal conduct they'll be furthering once they are firmly ensconced in the hallowed halls of the White House.

Without doubt - the Palinites will follow Rove's cue - and cite executive privilege to avoid close scrutiny of their wrongful acts.

While new developments in the saga have left some scratching their heads, I'm not fooled, to say the least.

Yes, it has been reported that the Palin scoundrels will now testify, in respect to the issues at hand.

Break out the Moosebear, dudes!

Are they taking a cue from O.J. Simpson's friends and business associates (who turned on him during the recent robbery and kidnapping trial) in order to save their own precious hides?

The answer may be twofold.

Since the court dismissed the legal action in respect to jurisdiction, the Palin miscreant's are painfully aware now that failure to appear to testify, may result in criminal action for contempt of court.

Notwithstanding - because the head investigator has noted for the record the investigation is almost complete - they undoubtedly have come to recognize the folly of their ways.

If the Palin camp doesn't offer up some defense in the proceedings, Republicans may lose their bid for a verdict of not guilty for Sarah.

Palin, on the other hand, remains misguided and - basically - in a sad funk.

According to the latest press reports, Sarah is stridently arguing to anyone within earshot, that the State's personnel board should investigate the firing which has her up on charges for alleged abuse of power.

Since Palin has the authority to "fire" a member of the personnel board, isn't it obvious to the dizzy broad, that there is a conflict of interest?

Moreover, does she honestly think the personnel board would feel comfortable ruling on such an issue, when she is currently accused of firing an employee that refused to obey her wishes before?

It's obvious to any fool, they'd be next on her hit list!

Palin stepped into a heap of Moose dung day one when she refused to cooperate with the investigation.

Before the whole scandal has gone bye-bye, Ms. Goody two-shoes will be eating crow, no doubt.

Sophisticated city slickers are light years ahead of you, Sarah.

Time you got up to speed and fessed up.

Judge Robert R. Beezer...photos vanish off Internet after allegations of corruption!

Last night I posted an item on Judge Robert R. Beezer who presides over cases in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

In that post, I noted that Judge Beezer was a dishonest corrupt Judge.

Lo and behold, within a couple of hours after the post was published, photographs of Judge Beezer began to vanish off the Internet.

Is the Judge pulling strings behind the scenes, abusing his power once again?

Is the man ashamed to show his face in public, after his shocking and disturbing misdeeds were exposed on the great World-Wide-Web, for all to read?

As Lincoln Steffen once opined,

"Power is what men seek and any group that gets it will abuse it.”

This obviously applies to Justices at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
