President Obama...White House summons BP Chairman to meeting! Brits cry "Inexplicable but Despicable"...

White House senior administration officials have summoned the Chairman Of BP Oil - a shadowy figure by the name of Carl-Henric Svanbergth (in addition to CEO Tony Hayward and BP’s top executives) - to a closed-door meeting on June 16th to probe the width-and-breadth of the oil-spill crisis.

At press time, sources close to the President acknowledged that the Commander-in-Chief would be participating in some of the intense discussions, that will obviously go down before the dust settles.

Pundits who have questioned the way the President has handled the BP crisis, thus far, are now chortling that - if anything - Obama’s shortcomings have unified the British Press.

The headlines have been devastating for the White House overseas.

One daily described Barack Obama’s debacle this way:

“Explicable but despicable.”

And, a handful top-level Officials are accusing outright, that Obama’s ineffectiveness (wanton negligence and disregard for their Corporate entities) has financially burdened the backs of Brits.

“The elderly rely on BP dividends from BP to survive in these tough economic time,” one irate Politician  noted for the record.

However, the Mayor of London overstepped the line - in my opiniion - when he alleged that Obama was "roasting" BP and its Corporate Brass because he "hates" Brits.

Hogwash!

Fleet street madness at its worst.

I laughed out loud when one political analyst on Fox wondered aloud why Barrack Obama held back so long in meeting with CEO Tony Hayward, and his boss, the Chairman of the BP Board.

“He’s the President of the United States. The executives at the oil giant are merely in charge of a company," he snorted, in so many words.

"Obama has the upper hand,” he summed up to panelists who gave their nod of "right on" from the sidelines.

Duh!

The namby-pamby accusations about Barack Obama come to the fore again.

Well, at least he didn't tour the disaster area in Mom jeans.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing to hear Barack Obama utter a memorable quote from the Academy award-winning film - Network - starring William Holden.

Uh-huh.

It goes something like this:


“I’m mad as hell and I’m not taking it anymore.”

Barack Obama...& Eric Holder neglected to read Arizona Immigration document!

I feel a headache coming on!

Two high-profile politicians got their di**s caught in a wringer this week when it was revealed that neither had done their homework.

For example, at a probe on the controversial Arizona Immigration Bill (which was just signed into law by the Governor of the State) the Attorney General let it slip that he hadn’t actually read the ten-page document.

Imagine that!

On several occasions, Mr. Holder trotted to the podium at various news conferences, and denounced the passage of the Immigration Reform Law on the grounds that the controversial document was unconstitutional, discriminatory in nature, and would lead to racial profiling.

What gall!

How would it be possible for Mr. Holder to pass judgment on a law if he hadn’t even read the document to determine if clauses therein established that the allegations were true or not?

Sounds like the incompetent Government lay-about jumped on the bandwagon to appease a special interest group - or took the position he did to rustle up publicity - and bolster his public image with his own political agenda in mind.

More shocking was the disclosure that Barack Obama - likewise - had not even bothered to review the legal language which was carefully crafted to prevent the injustices complained about by critics of the newly-enacted law.

That didn’t prevent the President from pointing an accusing finger at the “framers”, though, and denouncing their legitimate efforts to curb a illegant immigrant disaster which the Government has failed to act on.

At this juncture - are Americans to surmise that if the President found it too strenuous to scan a scant ten-page document - that he was also too lazy to turn a page or two of the voluminous Health Care package either?

Paula Abdul...Boo Hoo! Pay day blues forces exit from American Idol...

Abdul conjures up images of Latino Transsexuals I've met!

Today, when Paula Abdul announced she'll bow out of a highly-rated Fox entertainment show, I was inclined to breathe a sigh of relief, for her sake.



How long was the second-tier talent (a bit of fluff on stage that blew with the prevailing wind this way n' that during her quirky run) going to grovel before she took the hint?



Surely, she wasn't blind to the fact her days were numbered on American Idol?



The suits at the Network were obviously anxious to give her the old heave-ho!



When the new season revved up - with nary an offer dangling in sight - the wishy-washy Judge (who more-often-than-not wore her heart on her sleeve to her detriment) should have taken a cue and gracefully exited with a bit of class.



Instead, she languished on the sidelines, and whined incessantly to the press.



A pitiful ploy to rustle up sympathy with loyal fans?



Well, Paula, you forgot the golden rule in Tinsel town.



It's just business - as usual - in the dream-making factory that is Hollywood.

Nothing personal, Ms. Abdul.



Just ask Ryan Seacrest.



Industry power-brokers (keen to the bottom line) whipped up an offer the likable host couldn't refuse.



In one delicious fell swoop, the high-profile ratings-getter pacted a lucrative deal, sure to guarantee a cash-flow of millions over the next few heady years.



"I'll miss 'ya, Paula," were the only parting words the metro sexual male - with a penchant for high-end hair-styling products - managed to diplomatically utter up on Twitter a few days ago.



Hapless talentless contestants - Abdul was inclined to root for - will mourn her, too.



Golly, I'm a tad teary-eyed now.



Shakespeare said it best:



"Parting is such sweet sorrow"

This is really what got my rocks off!
