Anderson Cooper...Broadway debut! Daniel Radcliffe takes bow in classic!

Studly Coop debuts on Broadway!

That Silver Fox - Anderson Cooper - is launching a stage-acting debut on Broadway in a revival of the classic Broadway hit:

"How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying"

Well, not exactly in the flesh.

Though, fans of the pint-size News Anchor, get all hot and bothered at the thought!

Mr. Cooper recorded the Book "Voice" for an advice-giving narrator (a character who is actually never seen on stage) which starts previews at the Big Apple's Al Hirschfield Theatre in the next few weeks.

Coop was quick to underscore that his "night job" on CNN keeps him out of the loop for the most part - when it comes to acting - that is (dudes at the gym may offer up a bone of contention on that issue and will tattle otherwise if the rumor-mills are true).

So, this nifty assignment dove-tailed nicely with his work load.

I expect - that a handful of fans (hot-to-trot) were disappointed when they caught sight of Cooper in an interview with Piers Morgan recently - though.

In that one-on-one sizzler (yawn!) the camera-man made the mistake of taking a two-shot from the side which ended up dwarfing Gloria Vanderbilt's son (yeah, he was born into big bucks) next to TV's new super-star interviewer of the month.

The musical stars another notable by the name of Daniel Radcliffe.

Uh-huh!

I expect that the Harry Potter star will sell out the box-office, eh?

More later!

Paula Abdul...Boo Hoo! Pay day blues forces exit from American Idol...

Abdul conjures up images of Latino Transsexuals I've met!

Today, when Paula Abdul announced she'll bow out of a highly-rated Fox entertainment show, I was inclined to breathe a sigh of relief, for her sake.

How long was the second-tier talent (a bit of fluff on stage that blew with the prevailing wind this way n' that during her quirky run) going to grovel before she took the hint?

Surely, she wasn't blind to the fact her days were numbered on American Idol?

The suits at the Network were obviously anxious to give her the old heave-ho!

When the new season revved up - with nary an offer dangling in sight - the wishy-washy Judge (who more-often-than-not wore her heart on her sleeve to her detriment) should have taken a cue and gracefully exited with a bit of class.

Instead, she languished on the sidelines, and whined incessantly to the press.

A pitiful ploy to rustle up sympathy with loyal fans?

Well, Paula, you forgot the golden rule in Tinsel town.

It's just business - as usual - in the dream-making factory that is Hollywood.

Nothing personal, Ms. Abdul.

Just ask Ryan Seacrest.

Industry power-brokers (keen to the bottom line) whipped up an offer the likable host couldn't refuse.

In one delicious fell swoop, the high-profile ratings-getter pacted a lucrative deal, sure to guarantee a cash-flow of millions over the next few heady years.

"I'll miss 'ya, Paula," were the only parting words the metro sexual male - with a penchant for high-end hair-styling products - managed to diplomatically utter up on Twitter a few days ago.

Hapless talentless contestants - Abdul was inclined to root for - will mourn her, too.

Golly, I'm a tad teary-eyed now.

Shakespeare said it best:

"Parting is such sweet sorrow"

This is really what got my rocks off!

Paris Hilton...paparazzi stalk their prey @ red carpet premiere!

The premiere for Paris Hilton's documentary - "Paris, Not France" - attracted a posse of hungry paparazzi in search of prey.

The lonely vigil can be nerve-wracking, but when a celeb ripe for their searing lens trots down the red carpet, they spring into action and land the precious stills editors are pining for at press time.

Paris did not disappoint!

The sensuous beauty made a grand entrance in an elegant designer gown sparked with a tasteful piece of eye-catching jewellery or two.

Her sense of style and keen flair for fashion wowed! her die-hard fans in attendance, too.

One admirer was so taken by her charismatic presence that he gushed out:
"Paris! You're beautiful."

Michael Phelps...swimmer's pubes sexy! Scores 2 wins with little fanfare @ U.S. Competitions...

Studly Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps - the "Submarine Dude" - scored two hits at the U.S. Competitions Wednesday with little fanfare or much ado.

In fact, Phelps appeared to be a bit put-off by his performance in the overall swim of things, as he gingerly stepped from chilly waters he's not quite used to.

Yup!

Although the naughty party boy hit the wall in the 200 meter freestyle in 1 minute 44.23 seconds, the young Adonis didn't appear to be thrilled with that snail's-pace performance, one iota.

In fact, even though he beat out the competition in the 200-meter butterfly (1:52.76), Phelps was inclined to shake his head a tad - at which point he openly hinted to sports writers on the sidelines - that the golden boy was in a tizzy 'bout something.

Maybe, it's suddenly dawning on the kid, that he can't fight gravity forever.

After all, there's a bumper crop of leaner, stronger, more focused swimmers (Aaron Peirol?) breathing down his tanned toned back.

Is the hooch slowing the stud muffin down?

Me-thinks!

It's doubtful Phelps will ever go down in a humiliating fashion like Tiger Woods.

But, without focus, what good is pure speed?

The obvious display of dissatisfaction poolside may be a subtle sign that America's Olympic Hero, may be losing his grip.

News at 11!

Twitter...Bridget Marquardt tweets like no other "Girl Next Door". Playboy model a knock-out...

Shortly after I posted a news item on the crowning of Miss Playboy in Las Vegas - slated for May 31st - I was tickled by a tweet from Twitter informing me that the curvacious Playboy Model - pretty Christina Sandmeier - was now following me.

Ah, one of the perks of being a popular blogger, fer sure.

Bridget Christina Sandmeier - aka Bridget Marquardt - has been popping up here and there on the boob tube in a myriad of eye-candy roles.

If you recall, the charismatic beauty was featured on the high-energy popular reality TV series - "the Girls Next Door" - with Holly Madison and cutie Kendra Wilkinson (all gal pals of Hugh Hefner).

Wouldn't 'ya like to live in that neighborhood, Dudes?

How tweet life is!

Dreadlocks for young white dudes? "J" from Wichita a trendsetter...

Dreadlocks (front view)

Dreadlocks (Back View)

Shortly after I popped into Jack-in-the-Box for a breakfast snack, I did a double-take when I spied "J" from Wichita (Kansas) in his beautiful dreadlocks, scruffy little beard, and nose piercing.

Imagine that, he's not even a musician or an artist.

Nope.

The handsome young dude plans to enroll in Business & Science classes at SMC.

Oh boy, how the times are a-changing, eh?

Brad Pitt...hates the paparazzi! Naive actor takes the cash but neglects obligation...

Why all the cheesecake if you don't like to show it off?

Apparently Brad Pitt revealed on a network TV show that he "hates" the paparazzi.

In fact, Jolie's golden boy had some amusing thoughts to add to that.

"Let me be blunt: I hate them. I hate these people. I don't understand...that they do that for a living."

Brad, you're either very naive, or you forgot what it's like to be a struggling actor.

I say: tough ti**y!

Having to "deal" with the paparazzi is part of the nature of the best.

Brad - do you think that fans go to your films, rent one of your movies, or snatch up a magazine with your mug on the front cover - because they respect you for your acting?

Frankly, for the most part, no.

Let's face it, you're a pretty boy with chiseled abs.

That's your appeal, sorry!

Fans fantasize about you, lust after your body, and pine for a glimpse into your private life.

No, not just the one you inhabit in a role on screen.

The photos you complain about facilitate that essential aspect of the "business".

If you are not aware of that "reality", it's time to turn in your SAG card, and try your hand at selling real estate.

Or move to Europe, curse America ever after, and become a recluse.

Yes, Brad - in case you weren't aware of it - the film industry is a part of an intricate concern known as Hollywood's dream factory.

Brad Pitt is a cog in it.

Granted, I agree with you that the paparazzi should not - as you pointed out in your interview - climb over walls around the perimeters of your private property or call out your children's names as you're dropping them off at school in order to land an exclusive still.

That is wrong.

Instead of whining about, though, do something constructive.

Organize a band of supporters, draft an initiative, and submit it to Los Angeles City Council.

Or, put it on a ballot in the next election.

Whatever.

You say you don't understand that "they" do that for a living.

Heh, maybe photo journalists have a family to support.

Did you never sign on for a turkey - let's face it Brad, two of your last films were real stinkers - just for the big bucks?

When I reflect on your career - and that of others - one thing appears obvious.

On the rise up, actors tend to be so kissy-kissy with the fans, Accommodating to the media, and on-the-ready to offer up the gift of the gab in order to slyly maneuver their way onto the cover of People or GQ.

You name it.

Then, once a high-profile star has managed to secure a financial footing - and likewise, stash a little moolah in the bank - they turn the screws.

"The hell with 'ya. Who needs the likes of you."

Yes, that's the ungrateful lament of the day.

No man is an island, Mr. Pitt, and when you turn your back on your bread-and-butter, that message may come home to roost crystal clear.

Thank your lucky stars you've had such a successful run.

Keep up the nonsense and you'll be starring in half-hour infomercials on cable at 3 a.m nightly.

Made you need to eat a bit of humble pie to get your priorities straight!

Rod Stewart...blows off fan!

Do 'ya think I'm sexy?

Flipping the dial on the radio this morning in early-morning traffic, I stumbled across "Monique" & "The Man" chit-chatting on FM Radio, at Jack 10.07.

According to the "Dude", a Rod Stewart fan sashayed up to the Pop Vocalist as he sauntered out of a trendy watering hole last night (?) pining for a signature on a CD set.

"She was pretty. About fortyish," he quipped.

"You know what his fans are like."

Yup.

Stacked. Stretched into a leopard-skin cocktail dress, perhaps. With a mane of luscious lustrous locks, framing a come hither look. And, intoxicating perfume, sure to charm the jeans off of any stud.

Allegedly, Rod strode by. Blew her off!

Mr. Stewart, if it weren't for fans like that young lady - who thought you were "sexy", no doubt - you'd be just another has-been pop star with big hair and an ego the size of a flaccid di**.

As Don Williams, Jr. once said,

"Fame and riches are fleeting. Stupidity is eternal."
