I gaze in quiet wonder

as a chorus of elusive emotions

subtly rise and fall beneath the surface

flawless alabaster skin

And, breathe life into a loveless crystal face

Then, in one fleeting moment

Speaks volumes

About the mysteries of the heart

before vanishing into the ether

without trace

or regret
