Hell hath no fury like a prudish English bloke scorned!

Just ask the tattlers at the fleet street tabloids across the big pond.

Ofcom, the British watchdog that regulates the airwaves in normally-jolly old England, has announced that they will conduct an investigation stemming from a raucous incident which scandalized Brits in recent days on snooty Simon Cowell's popular telly entertainment Show (X-Factor).

And - you thought that Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake - boobed the light-fantastic a moon or two ago - eh?

Ha!

According to sources, Christina Aguilera is in the hot seat for stripping down to sexy sweet-nothings impromptu - in front of approximately 14 million viewers.

To some - a heart-pumping-performance of two tunes from the soundtrack of her new flick (meant to evoke the raunchy appeal of pole dancing while boosting potential Burlesque ticket sales) - was "too orgasmic" for the dinner hour between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the evening.

In fact, a daily rag published out of London, labelled the daring show-stoppers featuring Aguilera (and Rihanna) an outright "storm of sleaze".

In fact, one journalist lamented:
"The message it sends out to a young and impressionable audience is so debasing and depressing."

Although a spokesperson for X-Factor swore up-and-down that the titillating gyrations were "appropriate" - a hail of angry tirades from viewers - tended to infer in the ugly mud-slinging aftermath it was simply not the case.

Ofcome was allegedly inundated with a flood of complaints - 2,750 - to be exact.

And, ITV - which aired the dirty laundry cum bill-of-fare - received 1500 protests criticizing the racy sexually implicit rant.

At this juncture, the meaning of "X" in the show's title, must be painfully obvious by now.

Simon should re-title the hit - "The Bump 'N Grind Effect" - eh?

Christina Aguilera..."Bionic" music release! Puppetry of Penis...

Last night Christina Aguilera was spotted at a Los Angeles performance of the theatrical stage hit "Puppetry of the Penis".

On the heels of the frenzied high-profile outing (excited paparazzi jockeyed for photo ops) the sensual DIVA noted that her spanking (!) new album - "Bionic" - was slated for release on June 8th (2010).

Fans were thrilled to hear the lead single - "Not Myself Tonight" - will premiere on her Official Web Site on March 30th (next week).

For a while it appeared Aguilera was content to rest on her laurels musically-speaking (in view of the fact her last album "Back to Basics" was released over four years ago).

The sexy chanteuse - with a flair for flesh & fashion - categorized the musical musings this way in a press release:

"It's electronic with organic elements that range from the playful to the introspective."

"It is something I don't think anyone will expect. I am so excited for my fans to hear the new sound."

The upcoming release includes creative interactions with Ladytron, Sia, Hill & Switch, and Le Tigre.

One ballad - "Lift Me Up" - was written by Linda Perry
(a former collaborator).

Aguilera is expected to wow movie audiences when she struts across the silver screen in the upcoming release - Burlesque - in which she stars opposite legendary Pop Icon Cher.

Broad Contemporary Art Museum...a glitzy star-studded opening; Broad Foundation Art Collection wows!

Glitzy gala delights art lovers...


Just recently, the Broad Contemporary Art Museum threw a bash to celebrate the opening of the new exhibition space at LACMA.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was in attendance - as were a bevy of lusty dolled-up beauties - Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie, and Jamie Tisch - to name a few.

The Gala Chairs for the event were Jane and Marc Nathanson, probably the most-toasted glamorous couple in the glaring spotlight on that festive night.

Much to celebrate!

BCAM is being touted as the fabulous centerpiece for a transformation that has been underway at the Los Angeles County Museum over the past couple of years.

Eli and Edythe Broad coughed up $60 million to get the ball rolling.

The goals were:

"To ensure LACMA’s crucial role in the presentation of modern and contemporary art in Los Angeles was realized; to bring a great architect to LACMA to help redress its architectural and functional problems; and - most importantly - to catalyze and advance the growth of Los Angeles as a global capital of contemporary art," according to a BCAM spokesperson.

Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect - Renzo Piano - BCAM provides the LACMA campus with an extraordinary three-story 72,000-square-foot gallery dedicated to art from 1945 to the present.

BCAM is also the Phase 1 centerpiece of LACMA’s ambitious overall program of expansion and renovation. It features one of the largest column-free art spaces in the United States with loft-like galleries and a sky lit top floor.

A portion of the funds were set aside for the acquisition of important art works such as a mammoth eye-catching sculpture by celebrated artist - Richard Serra - which is currently on display.

Micaheal Govan, Director at the LACMA excitedly noted,

"The creation of BCAM greatly expands LACMA's contemporary art program, both enriching the experience of its historical collections and placing LACMA in a position of prominence in the area of contemporary art among encyclopedic museums."

In particular, Mr. Govan stated that he was thrilled that the BCAM will enable the staff to show the art of several major artists in great depth and in a more thoroughly engaging context.
