Christina DeRosa...touts "Share This". A practical online service...

Christina DeRosa is a pretty petite beauty who has been garnering a lot of attention over the past year - in part due to her high-profile role on the popular series - "Sex Chronicles".

No wonder, Christina sinks her teeth into everything she pursues wholeheartedly.

Quite the fashion plate, Christina also turns heads wherever she goes!

A few weeks ago, DeRosa lent her considerable skills in the style arena to raise funds for a worthy cause, the "All Stars Fashion Show" (Hollywood).

Needless to say, the high-energy fashion extravaganza - which attracted dozens of dazzling personalities who chomped at the bit to take a stroll down the red carpet lined with frenzied paparazzi - was a surefire success.

But DeRosa is not just a perky actress with an eye on the limelight.

On the heels of that sold-out event, the talented DeRosa threw herself into a rally (and madcap treasure hunt headed up by name stars in the industry) to raise much-needed funds for the Los Angeles Children's Hospital, which also ended on a top note ($$$$$).

Yesterday, I was not surprised to receive an e-mail from Christina inviting me to sign up for "Share This" - a web site venture that provides a simplistic way to "share" information (blog posts, news features, and celebrity profiles) as quick as-a-wink on the Internet.

Although I have not quite figured out the semantics of "share this", upon receipt of the invite, I was inclined to recall that just a few months ago friends urged me to jump on the Twitter bandwagon.

But, when I urged others to sign up, what was their initial response?

Twitter!

Say what?

If Christina is involved with "share this", or recommending the site, there must be some substance to it.

Bottom line, the whole concept of "sharing" appeals to me, anyway.

How 'bout you?

"Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup"...Christina DeRosa, Stephen Baldwin, Gene Simmons & Shannon Tweed race to raise funds for Hospital...

Christina DeRosa & Stephen Baldwin rally to raise funds!

On Saturday May 2nd, actress Christina DeRosa (Sex Chronicles) will be appearing at a "Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup".

Gung-ho participants will race about the city in snazzy roadsters looking for clues in a unique kind of scavenger hunt, with the ultimate aim of crossing the "Finish Line", first.

The exciting rally was organized by a handful of concerned celebrities seeking to raise much-needed funds for the treatment of cancer and ongoing research essential to finding a cure for the disease.

"I signed up with "Rally for Kids with Cancer" as a great way to raise funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles,"

Children's Hospital is a leading International pediatrics children’s hospital that cures children and adolescents and helps their families navigate the dizzying medical health care system by providing a comprehensive understanding of childhood cancer and other blood disorders as well as effective methods for their treatment.

"I could tell you numerous statistics on the ever-growing number of young children getting this horrible disease but it means nothing. You, need to go to Children’s Hospital, look in their eyes and see the hope that they have when they look into ours."

Ms. DeRosa's navigator will be David Albert Pierce of the Pierce Law Group.

Celebrity navigators include Eva Longoria Parker (Desperate Housewives); Eva La Rue (CSI: Miami); Terrence Howard (Iron Man); Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami); Stephen Baldwin (Flyboys); Mario Lopez (Actor); Gene Simmons (KISS), Christina DeRosa (Extreme Movie), Katherine Kelly Lang (Bold and the Beautiful); MarĂa Conchita Alonso (top vocalist); Robin Antin (The Pussycat Dolls and Girlicious) and Shannon Tweed (Family Jewels) to name a few.

"The Qualifiers" Celebrity Draft Party May 1st (2009).

Red Carpet: 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Location: The Roosevelt Hotel (Tropicana Poolside).

At this glittering event, Rally Drivers will have the opportunity to recruit and meet their desired Celebrity Navigator.

The fundraisers would rustled up the most funds will have first choice in when it comes to the celebrity selection process.

The "Rally" May 2nd (2009)

Starter's gate: 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm

The track will be fuelled by an extraordinary schedule of pit stops at a handful of the most exclusive venues throughout the City of Los Angeles.

Once the flag goes down, rally drivers and their celebrity navigators will embark on a joy-ride of a lifetime, as they jaunt from one clue to the next or are required to perform a special task.

So, at each pit stop, the driver and celebrity will have to work together.

In one hilarious scenario, the race enthusiasts will have to warble with Smokey Robinson.

"The fact that nobody really knows what they’re doing (ahead of time) creates a lot of anticipation and electricity throughout the event," an official of the fundraiser chuckled.

"Fun and information is the call of the day", another fund-raiser quipped.

I guess thinking fast will get you across the finish line, eh?

"The Winner's Circle" Gala Dinner May 2nd (2009)

Rally Drivers, Celebrity Navigators and invited guests will recall their most memorable moments during the rally while they enjoy an incredible dinner at the $30 million private home of Bill Phillips (Transformation.com), first-class entertainment, a live auction, and participate in a fancy-schmancy Awards Ceremony.

See 'ya there!

Christina DeRosa...struts the red carpet in sexy style! AFI Fest overflowing with charismatic characters...

I felt like I was witnessing an old-style aspect of Hollywood being resurrected last night on the red carpet at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome.

A press agent for Christina DeRosa gave advance warning to the media that she'd be strutting down the red carpet - in spite of the fact - the statuesque beauty was not performing in any the new releases slated for screening last night.

"I'm just here to say hello," she beamed in an outfit that definitely accented her - um - assets.

I've been seeing a lot of that lately.

Now-a-days, there is a definite push by talent and their reps to maneuver their fresh faces into the glare of the spotlight.

Ms. DeRosa is pleasant, sexy, and outgoing.

And, she has a heap-load to crow about.

DeRosa is a series regular on Cinemax's popular "Sex Chronicles".

"Chronicles" was written by New York Times best-selling author Zane. And, producer by Zane's partner, Suzanne de Passe.

The earthy cable show is being billed as a new urban late-night series.

Rapt audiences are currently following heroines Patience James and her pretty girlfriends - Eboni (Christina DeRosa) Maricruz, Lyric, and Ana Marie - as they seize their destiny in the big city, look for love - and ultimately - empower themselves.

"Both in and out of the bedroom," DeRosa notes on her wallet-sized calling card with charismatic photo on its face.

Christina DeRosa's coiffeur was by Galina Shvartsman.

Finishing touches included jewelry designed by Natalie K, a collectible handbag by Debbie Brooks, and shoes beautifully crafted (with teetering high heels, ladies) by Shoes for the Stars - who else?

For those of you who are inclined to get out of the easy chair at home now and then, Ms. DeRosa will be appearing in four upcoming feature film releases which you may wish to catch at the local movie house - Extreme Movie, The Grind, the Group, and - my favorite - "Run! Bitch Run!"

Although she's content with her role on the "Chronicles", the talented young lass is optimistic that meatier roles will come her way.

"No, I don't want to direct," she quips.

Ah, that's a first.

"Produce, maybe."

Smart lady. The popular young siren knows where the "power" is.

When I asked her about her fan base, she was ecstatic to report on it.

"I get lots of mail. People contact the show. It's great."

Throughout the hectic carpet activity, Ms. DeRosa was quite poised, too.

In fact, she held her own. The perky star didn't need any assistant to prop her up - or drag her by the pretty hand - like some.

Good luck, Christina.

Sure you'll succeed beyond your wildest dreams.
