Jacqueline Kennedy...Steven Spielberg pitching script! Jackie O's dark days...

The celebrated socialite - and former wife of one of the most-respected Presidents in U.S. History - is to be the subject of a screen biopic if Steven Spielberg has any say in it.

Spielberg, arguably one of the top power-brokers in Hollywood today, has jumped on board the project in the capacity of Producer.

The screenplay - written by Noah Oppenheim (a former producer on the "Today" show) - intends to focus an insightful lens on Jackie O's last dark days at the White House in the aftermath of her husband's assassination in Dallas, Texas.

The twist?

Oppenheimer's material is allegedly written from the point of view of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

A toughie, when you consider that most of the principals in the modern-day tragedy - Jackie Kennedy, son John F. Kennedy Jr., Robert F. Kennedy - even Senator Edward Kennedy (who passed away to spirit in recent months) - are no longer with us in the actual flesh.

Does Oppenheimer intend to rely on the recollections of daughter Caroline Kennedy?

Or, does he have a parcel of heretofore unpublished documents (and/or private letters) to draw on to breath some new life into the highly-scrutinized age-old saga?

And, now that the issue has been raised, I am inclined to wonder - too - if the project has received a blessing from the Kennedy clan (what's left of 'em).

Inquiring minds want to know!

Curiously, years ago, I was hired to play a Secret Service Agent on the TV Show - The Twilight  Zone (CBS) - for an episode on time travel which featured a re-enactment of the Kennedy assassination in Dallas.

With startling detail, the producers recreated the infamous limo scene - where Jackie jumped out of her seat in the open motorcade and onto the rear trunk - shortly after John F. Kennedy was shot.

I was in that scene, in addition to others at a mansion that doubled as the White House, which focused on events triggered by the shocking tragedy.

I wonder, will Spielberg also push for a flash-back of that black day in American history?

If so, maybe I should dust off my dark suit, and keep my eye out for audition calls!

Caroline Kennedy...decision to pursue Senate Seat elicits quote of day!

Caroline Kennedy supported Obama in his campaign for President

Out-of-the-blue, Caroline Kennedy confided to a friend recently, her intention to pursue the Senate Seat being vacated by Hillary Clinton.

Caroline Kennedy is the daughter of former charismatic U.S. President, John F. Kennedy, and celebrated socialite and Art Patron, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

After wrestling with the idea for a few days, sources reported that the normally camera-shy Kennedy, made up her mind to ask the Governor - David A. Paterson (New York) - to consider her for the post.

At the time of the announcement, the Governor could not be reached for comment because he is currently on a jaunt to Utica.

In spite of this, apparently Ms. Kennedy has been putting in personal phone calls to potential supporters in the political arena, to inform them of her intentions.

Her uncle, Robert F. Kennedy, once held that office.

A handful of agitated Democrats are allegedly questioning her credentials from the get-go.

The turn of events has managed to rustle up the quote of the day in my estimation.

When U.S. Representative Gary Ackerman (a Queens Democrat) was asked what - if any - were Ms. Kennedy's qualifications to hold the post, he allegedly quipped that he didn't really know except for one thing.

"She has name recognition, but so does J. Lo."

Ouch!

Michelle Obama...Blackie "O" according to Vegas Disc Jockey at 10.75 Rock FM

Pill Box didn't work for Laura Bush somehow...

Shortly after the radio squawked to life as I sped down Flamingo bright and early this morning, a disc jockey on a local FM Radio Station (10.75) chuckled about a recent appearance Michelle Obama made on the talk fest the "View".

"Blackie "O". That's what she looked like to me."

A posse of jocks were chit-chatting in a round-robin of morning gossip gleaned from the by-ways and highways of the Nation.

According to the trio of spirited jocks (one woman & two dudes) Michelle recently had a make-over to tailor her image for the White House. In doing so, the trio cackled that her handlers obviously had a role model - "Jackie O" - in mind when they rustled up the new persona.

"Look, there's the pill box hat. The pearls. And nifty dresses - similar to those that Jackie strode in the public spotlight in - that she made famous," they argued matter-of-fact.

I wonder why no one thought of that label - Blackie "O" - before, the curious jock wondered aloud?

Probably because it's derogatory and potentially racist, do 'ya think?

The same observant fellow laughingly referred to the "View" gadfest as a basic daily cluster Fu** in front of the microphone.

And, that Whoopie Goldberg, they lamented. What does she pull in, about two mil? And she just stumbles through the interviews, mumbling 'bout this 'n that. At times, slurring her words.

At the end of the segment the boastful jock noted that he wanted credit for the Blackie "O" moniker.

"I got credit for coming up with "Dick Flick" (chick flick inspired it)," chimed in another jock from the sidelines.

Yes, I guess they'll mention me on Entertainment Tonight or TMZ, the comic shock jock proudly asserted.

Well, guess you'll have to settle for The Tattler for now!
