Las Vegas Police...excessive force on Vegas strip! Tourists aghast at brutal arrest!

In the wake of the potent puffs of smoke trailing in the aftermath of the spectacular fireworks display at Caesars Palace on July 3rd, shocked onlookers edged closer to the curb to get an up-close gander at a shake-down that was underway by the local police.

For some unknown reason, two gruff uniformed cops were spied smacking a middle-aged-man down onto the squad car with little mercy.

In fact, when the emotionally-distraught pedestrian protested about the abusive conduct, one officer proceeded to push his face into the trunk of the vehicle, while his partner ratcheted-up the handcuffs so tightly that the suspect cried out in pain.

A twenty-something dude standing next to me on the bustling city walk flipped open his video-camera and started to film the outrageous conduct of the rogue police officers.

"Excessive force, eh?" I quipped.

The solemn tourist half-turned and nodded in the affirmative.

"Police brutality, if 'ya ask me," I added quickly on the uptake.

When I asked if he intended to upload the video footage to a social hub on the Internet, he confirmed that was his intention, you betcha.

Because there was a camera-crew filming nearby as well, a number of the tourists wondered aloud if perhaps the scene was being recorded for the TV Show "cops".

Either way, the hateful - unprofessional conduct of the Las Vegas Police Department staff - is bound to end up in the glare of the spotlight in the near future to haunt 'em.

In retrospect, I expect that folks in the community-at-large are going to be inclined to question eleven deaths over the past year, which residents suffered at the hands of cops who swore up-and-down that the murders occured during the course of self-defense.

If 'ya ask me, they've got some 'splainin' to do!

Las Vegas Justice Court...Violates Defendant rights! In conspiracy with Nevada Highway Patrol & NCO Financial Services!

The Las Vegas Justice Hall is in cahoots with the Nevada Highway Patrol, the Las Vegas Police Department, and NCO Financial Services.

The end result?

Defendant's rights are being violated daily at the Las Vegas Justice Hall - in downtown Las Vegas (Nevada) - for starters!

Notwithstanding, the Las Vegas Justice Hall has has also engaged in a outright conspiracy - with the Nevada Highway Patrol, the Las Vegas Police Department, and NCO Financial Services - in a deceitful illegal ploy to coerce unsuspecting (innocent) defendants into paying hefty fines (oftentimes not due) under the threat of prosectution.

To carry out the sinister shake-down - corrupt Judges and kow-towing employees in adminstration at the Las Vegas Justice Hall - have willfully and wrongfully denied defendants "Notice of Hearing" and the legal right to appear and argue a defense.

In sum, defendants have been denied their constitutional right to due process at the hands of rogue Law Enforcement Officers, immoral corrupt Judges, and dishonest administrative employees on the take at the Las Vegas Justice Hall.

Tattler readers may recall that I previously posted an expose on the Nevada Highway Patrol, in which I tossed a searing spotlight on the misconduct of State Troopers like Officer Del Padre (who routinely engages in illegal stops and harasses innocent motorists without provocation) and two of his superiors - Sergeant Charlex Haycox and Captain Tony Almaraz - who participated in a conspiracy to cover-up abuses under the color of authority and advance a bold-faced deceitful effort to mitigate Nevada Highway Patrol's liablity for damages.

Post:  07/05/2010

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/nevada-highway-patrolofficer-del-padre.html

Currently, there is a Tort Claim against Del Padre and the Nevada Highway Patrol, which seeks recovery of damages to compensate the injured parties for damages sustained during the course of the nefarious conduct and arising from the conspiracy to cover up the facts thereafter.

In the aftermath, I determined from evidence on file at the courthouse, that the Las Vegas Justice Court - not only hired disreputable collection agents to harass and threaten defendants - but also - enaged in a conspiracy to coerce defendants into coughing up exhorbitant fees and penalties without benefit of legal recourse which was their inalienable right under the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and pursuant to applicable State and Federal Statues.

In addition - Judges, employees of the Las Vegas Justice Hall, and their agents - NCO Financial Services - willfully stepped "over-the-line"(and broke the law) when they refused to follow the dictates of the Fair Credit Reporting Act - and in the process - denied consumer rights.

For example, defendants were not given proper notice of pending legal actions, or apprised of their rights.

Consequently, warrants were issued, and alleged fees and penalties due were reported in a cavalier illegal manner to three major credit reporting agencies which hurt their names, reputations, and credit worthiness in the community-at-large.

On the heels of these despicable illegal acts, the agents of the Las Vegas Justice Hall, proceeded to threaten and harass the defendants and peristed with illegal conduct in violation of their rights.

For the record, it should be noted that NCO Financial Services is a disreputable debt collection agency, that has not only been investigated in the past by the Government authorities for wrongdoing - but on the heels of the probe - ended up being slapped with staggering fines (levied by the Federal Trade Commission) to the whopping tune of $1.5 million.

By their mere assocation with NCO Financial Service, it appears that the Las Vegas Justice Hall condones their despicable illegal wrongful acts - and thus - have blood on their hands in the final analysis.

For the foregoing reasons, at least one wronged party has lodged a formal complaint with the FBI with a demand for a full investigation with the ultimate aim of prosecution to deter such reprehensible conduct (and willful violation of consumer rights) in the future.

In response, the Nevada Highway Patrol has chosen to remain silent, in a dishonest self-serving ploy to mitigate their damages.

How long will the cesspool of corruption continue at the Las Vegas Justice Hall?

San Francisco Police Department...FBI probes dirty cops! Illegal searches & seizures!

On the heels of allegations that San Francisco plainclothes undercover officers engaged in illegal searches and seizures over the past year or so - and falsified police reports to back up their cavalier busts - the FBI has stepped in to investigate.

This past week I reported on the scandal which has shaken the city.

Post:  03/03/2011

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2011/03/san-franciscodirty-cops-accused-of.html

The Public Defender, Jeff Adachi, cried fowl in recent days when the District Attorney's office agreed to investigate the charges - but scoffed at the notion - that there should be an independent review.

Adachi argued to all within earshot that because George Gascon was Police Chief when the alleged wrong-doing took place last year - that a fair and just investigation can not be properly conducted by his office - at the end of the day.

In sum, it aappears that the FBI probe was triggered because of Garcon's reluctance to recognize that a full investigation by his office may not only be insufficient - but may also amount to a conflict of interest - as well.

"The FBI is conducting an independent investigation of allegations against several police officers, and we have SFPD's cooperation," confirmed FBI spokesperson, Julianne Sohn.

The current Police Chief - Jeff Godown - has lamented in the aftermath that he is disturbed by the fact that so-called incriminating videos (allegedly establishing wrong-doing on the part of San Francisco's finest!) - have been broadcast on local and national television.

"It makes it very difficult for us to conduct an investigation if I have to watch TV to find out what's happening in my Police Department," he grumbled to the press.

In his own defense, Jeff Adachi was quick to point out (rightly so) that the videos were evidentiary - and thus - viewed in open court for obvious reasons (which ultimately placed them in the public domain).

The videos may be viewed at:

http://www.youtube.com/user/sfpublicdefender

During a raid on Henry Hotel suites in San Francisco proper, officers apparently used a master key to open up a door, so that four officers could rush in and grab a suspect (who was later seen dragged into the hall and handcuffed).

In a second incriminating surveillance video, one officer was seen to be covering the camera recording the incident, while a posse of officers forced the occupant inside to open the door in a warrantless-search situation that didn't follow the book under the letter of the law.

San Francisco...dirty cops accused of illegal searches! I witnessed Rights Violations!

Officials are alleging that San Francisco Police Officers engaged in illegal search and seizures - and falsified reports to back up their cavalier law enforcement procedures - which were in direct violation of individuals rights.

In support of their accusations, investigators have offered up videos to back up the damning claims.

For example, footage captured by hallway surveillance cameras show that during the searches, Officers had a master key - and in one case quickly used it to open up the door - so four officers could rush in and grab a suspect who was quickly dragged into the hall and handcuffed.

In their defense, the Officers in question have asserted that they were led to the suspect apartments by virtue of  legitimate tips (by snitches?).

Although they did not secure search warrants, the rogue cops have sworn up-and-down, that they followed constitutional requirements by getting consent before entering said premises in order to search the rooms.

I personally witnessed this kind of  illegal conduct by the San Francisco Police Department in the recent past.

A few months ago, I was staying at a small Hotel in the North Beach area, when I overheard a commotion in the hallway.

I put my ear to the door, and overheard a couple of males (who identified themselves as San Francisco Police Officers) bang on doors with their fists, and demand that tenants open up.

Through an open window, I also overheard a curious conversation between two guests in the quaint little Hotel.

"Did they ask to see your identification," one shaken tourist grumbled to his friend.

If there was no answer at a door, San Francisco's finest moved on down the hall at random, to the next.

I immediately turned down the volume on my TV and sat quietly on my bed for a second or two.

Sure enough, they pounded on my door, too.

So, I made like the room was empty, and ignored their request to open the door.

Wouldn't you?

After all, I was keenly aware that the San Francisco cops were flagrantly violating the letter of the law under color of authority.

At this juncture, a full investigation has been requested by City Officials, fortunately.

"Perjury is a crime...a felony...and so is filing a false police report," public defender Jeff Adachi, noted for the record.

"The integrity of the criminal justice system is in question.  If you can't trust what a police office testifies to, it calls into question what they're doing out there.

Amen!

Adachi said it would be appropriate for an independent agency to get involved because the District Attorney - George Garcon - whose office would decide if criminal charges should be filed against the officers was Police Chief when the searches took place.

"That creates an obvious conflict of interest," Adachi concluded.

Although Gascon has opened up an investigation to determine whether there was any criminal wrongdoing on the part of the officers, he has scoffed at the notion that the matter be handed over to an outside agency.

And so, the corruption continues, in my estimation!

Nevada Highway Patrol...State Attorney General investigates rogue Highway Patrol Officers Captain Karen M. Lorenzo & Patrolman Del Padre!

In response to a complaint from a California motorist, the Nevada State Attorney General - Catherine Cortez Masto - has launched an investigation into the shocking misconduct of Nevada Highway Patrol Officers which resulted in rights violations and personal injury to the individual in question.

On July 4th, a rogue cop - by the name of Officer Del Padre (Badge # 691) -ignored the rule of law and abused his color of authority by virtue of an illegal stop on Highway I-15 in downtown Las Vegas (NV).

I reported on the incident in a post.

On July 4th, a rogue cop - by the name of Officer Del Padre (Badge # 691) -ignored the rule of law and abused his color of authority by virtue of an illegal stop on Highway I-15 in downtown Las Vegas (NV).

I reported on the incident in a post.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/nevada-highway-patrolofficer-del-padre.html

In response to my own queries on behalf of the victim, I initially received word back from Captain Karen M. Lorenzo that disciplinary action would be taken.

In her written correspondence, Ms. Lorenzo stated as follows:

"I can assure you that this matter was properly investigated and addressed. Furthermore, I can assure you that any sustained allegations of misconduct will be addressed administratively for appropriate corrective action."

However, when I attempted to determine what actions were taken against the officer, I got the run-around.

For some inexplicable reason, Captain Lorenzo ignored my requests for detailed information, after-the-fact.

What an outrage!

I also reported on the ongoing corruption of Captain Lorenzo and her fellow officers at the Nevada Highway Patrol

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/11/nevada-highway-patrolcaptain-karen-m.html

It should also be noted - that the "victim" never received an apology from the Nevada Highway Patrol once Captain Lorenzo - once she completed her "so-called" investigation.

Also - in spite of repeated requests - there has not been any effort by the Nevada Highway Patrol to compensate the individual for the damages they sustained at the hands of the rogue cop.

In my mind's eye, there has been a conspiracy underfoot to protect the Officer in question, at the expense of the "victim".

In fact, once the Nevada Highway Patrol was apprised of the fact that there was a pending lawsuit for damages (a tort claim with the State Attorney General's Office) the Department engaged in a bold-faced deceitful effort to conceal the facts with the ultimate aim of shielding the officer(s) and the Highway Patrol from liability for damages and further public scrutiny.

I trust that the current investigation commenced this past week will unearth the truth - and ultimately - right the wrongs.

Further, I personally pray that the victim receive the apology they deserve, and appropriate compensation for damages.

Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman... doesn't care about tourists! Selfish self-serving politician!

Mayor Goodman selfish a**hole!

Cash Cab picked up Mayor Goodman!
(fluke or set-up?)

The other evening, Mayor Goodson was featured on one of the local news stations, which reported on his recent appearance on the popular cable TV show the "Cash Cab"

For those individuals in the dark about the burgeoning TV hit, the premise goes something like this.

When tourists or local residents have the good fortune to flag down the "Cash Cab", the male host (who is the driver behind the wheel) turns around in his seat and offers to give the startled taxi riders a chance - to not only ride free - but also earn some greenbacks by trying their hand at a handful of trivia questions as they ride to their destination.

Apparently, Mayor Goodson was invited to take a shot at it.

Frankly, when I caught the news clip, it angered me.

What a good-for-nothing selfish self-serving so-and-so Mayor Goodman is!

Many weeks ago, I e-mailed him a complaint about a motorist who was shaken down by the Nevada Highway Patrol, and asked that he intervene, with the ultimate aim of ending the highway robbery.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/nevada-highway-patrolofficer-del-padre.html

In my communication -  I also informed him that Chief Tony Almaraz turned a blind eye to the obvious scam Nevada Highway Patrol Officers were engaged in - in a deceitful and dishonest attempt to extort monies from innocent tourists and out-of-towners falling prey to the scurillous misconduct of  Law Enforcement Officers at that agency.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/chief-tony-almarazdeceitful-illegal.html

As of this date, Mayor Goodson hasn''t even given me the courtesy of a reply.

Oh, no!

He'd rather parade around town with a couple of  show-girls on his arm, and cast a blind eye to the injustices that go on in Las Vegas, than show a little "balls" and try to resolve the escalating problem.

Although Las Vegas was named a "cool city" this week (along with New York) it is evident that once an individual scratches the surface that is entirely untrue when it comes to "Sin City".

What goes on in the streets of Las Vegas by Law Enforcement is downright criminal!

I have spied racial profiling on the Vegas strip, pedestrians being stopped and harassed and given tickts, and - of course - was a witness to a shocking incident on an off-ramp near Caesar's Hotel in which an innocent tourist was victimized by a rogue Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper (Officer Del Padre; Badge No 691) who was out to rustle up funds for the public coffers and meet his daily ticket quota.

Las Vegas is not a cool City, and I would urge that tourists and business-men  stay away from the desert Oasis, 'til Mayor Goodson gets off his fat a** and does something constructive.

Shame on you, Mayor Goodson.

You're a sorry excuse for a human being.

Amen!

Governor Jim Gibbons...allows motorists to be victimized! Nevada Highway Patrol scam!

If you recall, last week I reported on a rogue Officer with the Nevada Highway Patrol (Officer Del Padre / Badge # 691) who was victimizing innocent tourists, engaging in outright harassment, Civil Rights Violations, and prone to destroy evidence to prevent recrimination from his superiors later.

Post:  07/04/10

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/nevada-highway-patrolofficer-del-padre.html

I proceeded to lodge a complaint with Chief  Tony Almaraz, who assured me after the 4th of July holiday weekend, that he would assign officers to conduct an investigation.

After three days, with no word back, it was obvious that Chief Tony Almaraz was either a total loser, or trying to protect his officers in a bold-faced cover-up.

In addition, in the next couple of days it became evident by his missteps, that Chief Tony Almaraz was not only unqualified for the job of head honcho at the Nevada Highway Patrol, but an incompetent boob with no leadership skills, as well.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/chief-tony-almarazdeceitful-illegal.html

For this reason, I proceeded to draft a stern complaint against Chief Tony Almaraz with the Office of the Governor - Jim Gibbons - in the State Capital.

Several days passed, and I did not even receive the courtesy of a reply.

Aren't tax-payers - and tourists alike - entitled to the courtesy of a reply?

Is Governor Gibbons under the mistaken impression that he is entitled to collect a pay check (when a large percentage of the population is without work) in spite of the fact he loiters on his fat a** and continually does nothing to protect and serve?

Shame!

Today, when I was perusing the internet for background info on the Governor, I stumbled across a web page featuring a publicity still of Governor Gibbons alongside several of the top dawgs at the State's Nevada Highway Patrol.

Gotcha!

Gibbons is in league with corrupt Nevada Highway Patrol offices, and is probably in on the scam, to illegally stop tourists - fleece their wallets for bogus ticket citations - then send them on their merry way after they've paid through through the nose for towing and storage fees.

Governor, you're a piece of shit.

The sooner residents get rid of the likes of you, the better off Nevadians will be.

Here's my finger, sir!

Sit on it and rotate.

Sergeant Charles Haycox...Nevada Highway Patrol officer gives tourists run-a-round! Misconduct demands disciplinary action!

Call for resignation of Chief Tony Almaraz!

Over the 4th of July holiday, I reported a shocking shake-down on Highway I-15 in Las Vegas, instigated by a corrupt Nevada Highway Patrol officer by the name of Del Padre (Badge # 691).

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/nevada-highway-patrolofficer-del-padre.html

In sum, Officer Del Padre engaged in an illegal stop, harassed and insulted a motorist, and seized a vehicle in Violation of the motorist's rights.

In addition, Del Padre attempted to destroy incriminating evidence - after-the-fact - to avoid recrimination later.

I noted in the post my intention to contact Chief Tony Almaraz of the Highway Patrol with the specific aim of triggering disciplinary action - and ultimately - to hasten along the release of the illegally-seized vehicle.

When I initially e-mailed Chief Tony Almaraz, he responded the day after the holdays (Tuesday July 6th) with a promise that an officer would be in touch shortly to launch an investigation.

I was hopeful that Chief Almaraz - vested with the public trust - would follow through so that the ugly incident would be resolved as quickly as possible.

The motorist in question was experiencing ill health and was left stranded with limited funds in Vegas.

Unfortunately, Chief Tony Almaraz did not follow through on his word.

In spite of the fact I stressed the urgency of the request, Chief Almaraz neglected to get back in touch "shortly" as promised.

Three days later, I was forced to zip off a follow-up e-mail, and enlighten Almaraz about that fact.

To jolt him out of his complacency, I included a link on a damaging article I wrote about  his incompetence, which ended up right next to his career profile on the Internet under a caption for the Nevada Highway Patrol.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/chief-tony-almarazdeceitful-illegal.html
Uh-huh!

That got a rise out of the Chief!

Within two hours, he fired off an e-mail, to assure me  that  prior to my communication that morning,  two officers had been assigned to the case.

"They informed me (Sgt. Haycox &  Sgt. Snow) that they have already contacted you," he asserted in so many words.

Lies!

A review of the e-mail stamps verify that their communications were zipped off  at approximately the same time as his panicky disjointed message to me (more on that issue later).

I wasn't born yesterday, Chief!

Sgt. Haycox's e-mail was basically a hasty note in which he outlined the steps to file a complaint against State Trooper Del Padre, and legal notice that no investigation could commence until the paperwork was lodged with the Nevada Highway Patrol, etc. etc.

I proceeded to download the complaint form, draft the complaint issues for the victim, and prepare it for submission to the Nevada Highway Patrol for investigation.

At this point, I should note that - in spite of the fact I asked for the address and/or contact number for Internal Affairs as well - neither Sgt. Haycox nor Chief Tony Almaraz provided the information.

In fact,  over the past week, I made a request for the Internal Affairs info three tmes, but as of this date (July 13th) the information has not been forthcoming.

Is it a State secret?

Afraid of something, gentlemen?

Meanwhile, the issue of the release of the vehicle was conveniently side-stepped by Sgt. Haycox and Chief Tony Almaraz.

Surely, the complaint issues against Officer Del Padre, didn't need to be resolved before the SUV could  be released to its registered owner?

Subsequently, I zipped off an e-mail to Sgt Haycox and Chief Tony Almaraz, with a demand that they prepare the proper documenation so that the victim could pick up his vehicle.

At this point, Sgt. Haycox set forth a couple of options in a follow-up e-mail, which he asserted would resolve the issue.

As it turns out, Sgt. Haycox was simply engaging in a lot of smoke-and-mirrors maneuvers.

Was this a mean-spirited attempt to punish the motorist for filing a complaint against a fellow officer?

When the evenets of the past week are reviewed, the answer rings out loud and clear.

Yes!

For example, in his instructions, Sgt Haycox assured the motorist they could drop into the Nevada Highway Patrol's "South Command" office and arrange for a release of the "hold"  with the appropriate doucments.

If the victim was not in possession of that paperwork, Sgt. Haycox noted that - in the alternative - the motorist could go to the DMV and obtain a "Drive Away" permit so the vehicle could be driven on to the victim's home state without further incident.

Because the Nevada Highway Partrol was out-of-the-way, and the motorist was without his vehicle, he elected to go to the DMV (which required one simple trip on a bus without any complications).

At the DMV, the motorist was able to secure the "Drive Away" permit.

On that occasion, there was a Divine Intervention, which I shall discuss later in a follow-up post.

Meanwhile, the motorist returned to their Hotel - hopeful that the following morning - they would be able to secure their vehicle.

Today - the motorist e-mailed an update on the status of the "Drive Away" permit to Officer Haycox, so he would be aware that all the  documents were in order.

In that e-mail, he also noted that he was proceeding down to the tow yard to pick up his vehicle.

Although Officer Haycox had hours to do so, he never responded to that e-mail, so the motorist proceeded to the tow yard confident that all his paperwork was in order.

After sweating in a hundred-degree weather in the mid-day sun for a couple of hours or so, the motorist - who was suffering shortness of breath and not feeling too well - finally arrived at the Highway Patrol's impound unit at South Strip Towing (3255 Pollux Ave / Las Vegas NV 891020).

When the exhausted individual produced the "Drive Away" permit, a snotty little clerk in the employ of South Strip Towing, snarled at the motorist that his permit was not sufficient.

"You need a pass from the Nevada Highway Patrol," she barked at him.

The tourist tried to explain that the "Drive Away" permit was already sanctioned by Officer Haycox.

At this point, another disgruntled motorist, spoke up.

"I got the same run-around from these people and the Nevada Highway Patrol. It sucks. I had to come down here twice, take a day off work. And it has cost me. I am furious."

Then, the irate young lady lamented that in spite of the fact it was public knowledge that this tow truck facility engaged in shocking mean-spirited conduct on a regular basis, the Nevada Highway Patrol has not taken any action to correct the situation or consider turning over the account to kind decent operators who have a little more compassion and understanding and professionalism.

In spite of the obvious misunderstanding, the clerk refused to permit the motorist to borrow their phone,   so he could speak to a Nevada Highway Patrol officer regarding Sgt. Haycox's directive.

"I don't have a vehicle. I am ill. I am just about ready to collapse in this heat. Can't you help me, please," he begged.

No way, Jose!

At this point, the nasty employee basically laughed at the both of them from the comfort of her glassed-in crawl space.

Then, after claiming there was no manager on the premises to speak to, the cold fish went and hid in the back of the small trailer and continued to make fun of the desperate motorists grumbling about the outrage of it all.

One motorist was kind enough to lend the tourist her cell phone so he could call the Nevada Highway Patrol himself.

Once he got a dispatch person on the line, though, the ditzy Nevada Highway Patrol employee showed little remorse about the obvious misunderstanding and escalating crisis.

At the request of the frustrated victim, she did contact Sgt. Haycox, but he refused to speak to  the stressed-out tourist on the telephone.

"You have to come down to South Command for a release, Sir," was the message he uttered up to dispatch to pass along.

Sgt. Haycox demonstrated by his actions that he could care less that the motorist was about to collapse, was suffering from heat exhaustion, and was in desperate need of assistance.

To add to the lunacy (and cruelty) of it all, it should be noted that when the motorist asked for instructions on how to get to South Command to obtain the release document, she proceeded to give  instructions for the highway route.

What a sorry excuse for a human being!

"Miss, I don't have a vehicle. Please don't give me freeway instructions," he pleaded.

Was she really THAT stupid?

Or, was it a deliberate slap in the face to humiliate the victim further?

"Are you going take a cab, then," she continued in the blink-of-an-eye.

"No, I don't have any money for a taxi," he replied in desperation.

Do these dummies think that money grows on trees?

Because of the illegal seizure of the vehicle on July 4th, the motorist was forced to extend Hotel accommodation a few days, and ended up - as a result - depleting funds.

Did she show any compassion at this juncture?

No.

When the motorist expressed his dismay that the Nevada Highway Patrol was supposed to protect and serve - and that inferred that she was failing to meet that mandate - she remained silent!

Did she apologize to the victim at any point?

Hell, no!

It shocks the sensibilities to imagine that a Highway Patrol Officer would act in such a cold heartless fashion and ignore a citizen's emergency needs!

Chief Tony Almaraz proved to be a slippery piece of work, too.

In recent days, for example, he established to me - by virtue of his sloppy unprofessional conduct - that he is uneducated, an ineffective community leader, incompetent, and not qualified to head up the Nevada Highway Patrol.

For starters, he has difficulty expressing himself in plain English!

For instance, it is obvious from the following excerpt from one of his e-mails, that Chief Almaraz lacks the ability to construct a simple grammatically-sound sentence in the language of the land.

Example
(July 8th e-mail excerpt written by Chief Tony Almaraz)

"I was informed by my command staff in Las Vegas that you have been in fact, contacted reference your complaint against Trp. DelPadre"

Huh?
His failure to correct the glaring English glitch hints at an additional lack of skills.

Doesn't the Chief  know how to conduct a grammar check or use the spell check tool?

Then, there is the question of actual performance, and the ablity to take appropriate action to expedite solutions to problems when called for, and so forth and so on.

For instance, it took three days for Chief Tony Almaraz and his bum-boy Sgt. Haycox, to inform the motorist in question that a trip to the DMV - and application for a "Drive Away" permit - would expedite the release of the vehicle.

Because of the Chief's negligence (and incompetence) in that regard, the vehicle sat in storage un-necessarily for three days racking up storage fees!

In view of the aforementioned facts, it is evident that Chief Tony Almaraz has a problem responding to emergency situations, assigning intelligent personnel to resolve important citizen complaints when they arise, or even exercise any leadership ability when the situation cries out for it.

Essentially, Chief Tony Almaraz is unqualified for the role of head honcho at the Nevada Highway Patrol.

As I noted earlier, Chief Tony Almaraz only bothered to step into the fray, when it came to his attention that I  am a journalist with thousands of readers on the internet and in a position to expose his incompetence, negligence,  and corruption to the public at large and various media outlets who follow my "feeds".

That's a shocking commentary on the Nevada Highway Patrol and Chief Almaraz, if you ask me.

For the foregoing reasons, I urge the resignation of Chief Tony Almaraz, with the ultimate aim of purging the Law Enforcement Agency of a corrupt element that flies in the face of Justice and morality.

Amen!

West Hollywood Sheriff...has sh** for brains! Needlessly harasses resident abiding by the letter of law...

You'd think that with all the brouhaha raging in recent days over the racist incident which stirred up a Hornet's nest of trouble back east (even forcing the Prez to eat crow with the best of 'em) that Law Enforcement would sit up and take notice - even lay low a tad for a few scant weeks - until the pig stink passed over.

Nope!

Yesterday morning a friend of mine pulled into a local coffee shop, and was barely inside ordering up a steaming cup of Java, when one of West Hollywood's dumbest officers was all over his vehicle like a fly on sh**.

The jar heads just don't get it, do they?

Turns out the copper in question (who harassed my pal needlessly at the crack of dawn at 5 in the a.m.) must have been a rookie - either that - or he was just a low-life wannabee who scammed his way onto the force by having some wise-guy take the GED on the sly on his behalf so he could meet the general requirements for gainful grunt employment at the WeHo Sheriff's Department.

Judging by his inappropriate conduct, the low-level law enforcement officer obviously doesn't have any reasoning powers to speak of.

In the final analysis - quite frankly - he has sh** for brains.

For example, as my friend waited for his morning pick-me-up at the take-out counter, he half-turned and spied the officer stop on a dime in front of his relatively-new vehicle - and quite literally - shake his head from side-to-side as he gazed at the front end.

Duh!

Was he on drugs, my pal wondered to himself.

Or, maybe he was suffering from a severe case of sugar hangover after scoffing down a-dozen-or-so doughnuts with sprinkles on top, as he twiddled his thumbs on "fag" duty on La Jolla Avenue the night before in ever-cruisy WeHo?

After all, my friend's newly-purchased SUV was street legal, and shouldn't have aroused any suspicion.

A second later, the pudgy dough boy gave my buddy a quizzical grin - then pointedly directed a question in his direction.

"Have you ever been stopped for not displaying a second plate upfront?"

Duh!

If the dim-witted lug head possessed a modicum of intelligence - or been on-the-ball at least - maybe he would have been inclined to scan the windshield for at least one little clue before barging into the doughnut shop and making an utter fool of himself in front of a half-a-dozen-or so witnesses wired up on their morning caffeine!

Elementary, dear Watson.

Moreover, if the "temporary registration" posted in plain view on the windshield (legally-required by the DMV) was not enough to jar his grey matter - perchance - a stroll to the rear of the vehicle and a subsequent visual check for a dealer's plate on the bumper (lo & behold) may have brought his exhausting full-scale investigation of the "Case of the Missing Plate" to a swift and logical conclusion.

Unfortunately, the little fascist pig was such a lazy son-of-a-gun - quick to point an accusing finger - that his shortcomings (speaking of which - I trust for his sake - that his di** is bigger than his brain) got the best of him.

When my friend casually informed him about the recent purchase of the vehicle, and noted there was a dealer's plate attached at the rear end, it was evident from the way his jaw dropped and his eyes glazed over, that he was painfully aware that he overeached legally - and subsequently - screwed up.

The overzealous little bastard stepped in doo-doo big time!

Yup!

Barack Obama...beer bust politics! Poorly chosen words...

In a few short succinct words, Barack Obama levelled a criticism at a Law Enforcement Officer earlier in the week which triggered an uproar across the Nation that is still playing out.

The furor first erupted when the Prez - rightly so - scolded a Police Officer for handcuffing and subsequently charging an Afro-American Professor for disorderly conduct at his home.

In a nutshell, Obama called the racist cop "stupid" - at which point - Police Brass went on the warpath.

In a news conference, the arrogant law enforcement low-life's complained to all within ear shot that the assessment was not only harsh, but uncalled for.

"Without a full picture of what happened, Obama should have stayed out of the picture," one angry Police Official asserted for the record.

And, when the President took a leap - and expressed his view that the incident smacked of racial profiling - the outcry was swift and severe.

Whoa Nellie.

For a moment, it appeared a lynching may be in the offing

"The supervisors and the patrol officers of the Cambridge Police Department deeply resent the implication and reject any suggestions that in this case or any other case they have allowed race to direct their activities," Sgt. Dennis O'Connor (President of the Cambridge Police Superior Officers Association) hissed.

Now, in the midst of the controversy, the Prez has backed down.

What a wimp!

Is Obama going to roll over for these pigs in Cambridge and take it up the a**?

Surely, he doesn't honestly expect for one deluded second that "beer bust" maneuvers (the Prez invited the dualing parties over to chat up the issues over a brewski) will actually win-out in the White House?
If so, he has more suds in his head that I originally thought!

Frankly, I think that Barack should turn in those "Mom Jeans" he wore when he threw the 1st pitch at a recent baseball match back east, and trade 'em in for a snazzy pair of "No Excuses".

For starters, Barack was not "off the mark" - nor did he speak improperly - when he simply called a "spade a spade."

Like or not, the Police force has - and will probably continue to engage in racial profiling - until the department is purged of rogue cops who wantonly and illegally engage in racist conduct.

In fact, when I was on holiday in Las Vegas a few months ago, I personally witnessed an arrest going down on the strip which smacked of racial profiling from the get-go.

But, there is a bigger picture that Barack Obama and Law Enforcements Officials have to keep their eyes focused on.

"Abuse of Power" under the Color of Authority.

The near-riot in MacArthur Park last year is a perfect example.

In spite of the fact thousands of witnesses stepped forward to provide testimony to establish the truth about the shocking conduct of Officers that railed throughout that fateful day, the Police Chief continued to manipulate the facts and evidence behind-the-scenes with the ultimate aim of bolstering the image of the LAPD at the expense of the victims.

Denial! Denial! Denial!

In another shocking incident a few weeks ago, which I penned a post on, the LAPD Vice Squad engaged in conduct that was not only questionable but downright criminal in nature.

In that post I noted that a middle-aged man was falsely accused of committing a crime, unlawfully detained, handcuffed, and subjected to various humilities in front of strangers on the street.

At one point - with the deceitful aim of turning in a neat and tidy package to a superior (a police report and collar) one corrupt rookie cop intimidated the witness (a criminal offense) and tried to coerce the alleged suspect into admitting to a crime (he did commit) to avoid prosecution (of a Felony).

Of course - the incidents of racial profiling, unlawful arrest, rights violations, and abuse of power under the color of authority - go on and on.

Until Police Chiefs around the country fess up, Barack Obama - in particular - should not let up.

If investigations and paper trails aren't going to get to the truth and result in charges being brought against offending Officers, then the fascist pigs must be tried in the public court of opinion - humiliated, exposed, defamed under the glare of the spotlight - if that is what it takes to turn the tide.

I say, go get 'em Tiger!

In closing, I part with a quiz.

Q: "What is a synonym for a Police Officer?"

A: A Professional Liar!

Los Angeles Police Department...violates rights and engages in warrantless searches! Police State "pigs"...

Early this morning, a friend of mine went for a walk around 5:10 a.m. to get some fresh air and pick up a morning paper, when he was accosted by a police officer and subjected to abuse.

The friend was on his way down the street when the officer in question cruised by, spied him, then proceeded to halt his squad car and bark out a question from the open window.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting some fresh air," my friend responded politely.

I guess that was not good enough for officer.

God forbid, a citizen should be under the false impression that they are entitled to stroll down a city street at dawn, and exercise their constitutional right to enjoy a bit of nature along the way!

At this juncture - the officer jumped out of his vehicle, strode up to my friend - and proceeded to drag him over to the police car.

"Is anything wrong?" my friend asked, who was quite distressed now by the turn of the events going down.

Before the cop had the opportunity to reply, a description of a suspect squawked over the radio of the squad car.

It was evident now that the pig-headed officer was apprehending the wrong person!

"Obviously, that is not me," the middle-aged man protested.

Without skipping a beat, the cocky cop replied,

"But, you do look familiar. Do you have a two-hundred pound parrot?"

What kind of a sick joke was that?

At the car, the officer twirled my friend around towards the vehicle.

Then, he yanked his arms and hands behind his back, without warning.

"What are you doing?" my friend asked (somewhat alarmed now) as the officer proceeded to empty his pockets and toss the contents onto the hood of the vehicle with little regard or respect for his personal belongings.

When the cavalier cop noticed my friend's car keys, he asked where the vehicle was parked.

Then, the officer proceeded to enter the SUV, and conduct a warrantless search, as my friend sat in the back seat of the police car in a state of shock.

A few minutes later, the officer returned from his wild illegal activities, and gruffly advised the law-abiding citizen that he could collect up his "things" and go.

Throughout the rogue encounter, the officer kept his identity secret, and gave no explanation as to why the resident was stopped.

My friend wanted to ask the officer for his name and badge number (since it was not in plain sight) - but was concerned that if he took that action - it might tip off the cop that he intended to file a complaint with the Police Commission.

Afraid that the officer might plant drugs on his person or in his car to retaliate, my friend was forced to struggle through the ordeal as peaceably as possible, until the wacko officer let him go.

In this instant case, it should be noted that my friend has a serious medical condition, which is aggravated by stress and anxiety.

During the course of the wrongful interruption of his "liberty", he - in fact - experienced sharp pains at the base of his spine and the crown of his head which indicated his normally high blood pressure must have literally gone through the roof.

It is wholly conceivable that the disturbing unjust action taken by the officer, could have easily triggered a stroke or a heart attack, in view of the circumstances.

In sum, the wrongful acts of the officer were not only abusive, but constituted a gross violation of rights.

Understandably, my friend intends to locate an attorney in the near future, to bring legal action against the appropriate Law Enforcement Agency.

A civilized society should never tolerate the reprehensible acts of those who would wear the "shield" - and under the color of authority - abuse their power and privilege in a bold-faced mean-spirited effort to demean a citizen unjustly.

The officer's perverse and deliberate refusal to obey the upright - "law of the land" - was wrongful, despicable, and in violation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

For this reason, the officer should be punished within the full extent of the law, and held accountable for his heinous acts which are a disgrace to law enforcement.
