Lindsay Lohan...eludes paparazz! Showdown with crusty Judge tomorrow

Call it the case of the stolen "papers".

Or, the cautionary tale about a girl interrupted.

Either way, the shoe will drop tomorrow for troubled film star Lindsay Lohan.

For good reason.
,
Just shy of meeting her commitment to participate in a dozen-or-so court-ordered DUI classes, Lohan got a little skittish and hopped on a jet to France.

Within hours of touching down on foreign soil, the scandal-ridden beauty was thrust into the eye of a media storm, as a titillated world gazed on.

Would the sometimes-ditzy Lindsay (prone to fall down and go boom) be seduced by the high life - and fall off the wagon as a result - or come to her senses and fly back home to meet her legal and moral obligation to the court.

Unfortunately for the strong-willed babe (with the monkey-on-her-back) fate intervened.

The "Mean Girls" star found herself in quite a dilemma when her passport was allegedly stolen.

Lohan accused her father of the dastardly deed.

"He'd do something like this because he wants me in rehab," she accused in so many words.

Meanwhile - at the Beverly Hills Courthouse - the Judge presiding over the proceedings fumed.

"If Ms. Lohan was serious about resolving the issues - she would have applied for a temporary passport - and would have been here," the Judge huffed.

Consequently, the court issued a bench warrant for Lohan's arrest,

A short while later, the Judge rescinded the warrant, when Lohan's lawyers posted a $10,000 bond.

On the heels of that proceeding, a hearing was set for Monday (May 24th) to determine if Ms. Lohan violated the terms and conditions of her probation.

Tomorrow is bound to be a media circus down at the courthouse.

Get there early for curb-side seats up front!

Lindsay Lohan...bench warrant issued! $100,000 bail, body search, & more...

Just minutes ago, a Judge presiding over the Lindsay Lohan DUI case, lowered the boom!

The troubled star was slated to appear at a mandatory court hearing this morning to discuss the progress of her case, but failed to appear.

According to her attorney, Lohan - who jetted off to the exotic Cannes Film Festival on the weekend - lost her passport and was prevented from returning home to attend the hearing today.

The Judge, not unlike many of us - who tune in to watch the nightly news each evening - no doubt caught sight of Ms. Lohan dancing up a storm in chic Cannes Nightclubs appearing for all-the-world to be thumbing her nose at the court.

Despite assurances from her attorney that Ms. Lohan would appear in court tomorrow, the Judge issued a bench warrant for the actress's arrest.

In addition to being cuffed by officers, Ms. Lohan will be subjected to a body search, and forced to wear an electroic monitoring device.

Will the men-in-blue be waiting for Ms. Lohan at the airport?

If so, the kids at TMZ will probably catch the whole delicious scoop on video.

Roman Polanski...busted! Long arm of law reaches out on rape charges...

Gotcha!

Boy, that must have been a shock for film director - Roman Polanski - when he innocently arrived at the airport to attend a festival in Switzerland (to accept an award for his craft) and found himself apprehended, hand-cuffed, and hauled off to the local pokey.

Talk about realism, Roman!

Of course, Polanski has been on the run for a few-dozen-years now, after fleeing the American Justice system to avoid prosecution for allegedly raping a thirteen-year-old actress.

Young pussy was hard to resist for old lover boy, I guess.

Last year it appeared there was an opportunity to resolve the legal snafu.

But, the specifics were difficult to wrangle, so Polanski remained at bay and out of harm's way (temporarily).

Now that an arrest has been made - albeit on foreign shores outside of  U.S. jurisdiction - a second battle has ensued.

Extradition proceedings!

Will the Swiss kow-tow to California's judicial system and comply with their request for transfer to their jurisdiction?

Or, humbly bow their heads in the wake of the cries of shame from neighbors who opine that their unprecedented intervention amounted to a baldl-faced shameful act?

Some analysts on the sidelines argue that it may have behooved Polanski to negotiate his own deal when the opportunity arose.

After all, now the matter has turned into an International incident, with all hawk-eyes inclined to scrutinize the legal system in both countries on opposite sides of the big pond.

Bottom line?

Polanski will get his day in court!

One legal eagle speculated that the case may be dismissed and commuted to time served.

Poland and France have launched a joint appeal for the Swiss to release the embattled film director.

Part of the reason Polanski eluded his pursuers for so many years was due to the fact France has no extradition treaty with the United States.

Though the articulate auteur - who received his first Academy Award nomination for "Knife in the Water" in 1964 - travelled throughout Europe extensively in recent years , he avoided arrest mainly due to the fact policies in respect to apprehending foreign fugitives have been quite lax.

A recent award that was bestowed on Polanski proved to be his undoing, however.

The celebrated event in Switzerland was advertised on the Internet - and consequently - tickets were sold guarnteeing an appearance by the the director of mega-hits such as "Rosemary's Baby".

Swiss Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpt intends to remain in Zurich until the extradition proceedings are finalized as a matter of legal form.

U.S. authorities have sixty days to file a request in writing  for Polanski's transfer to these shores.

Ironically, the victim (Samantha Geimer) has since settled out-of-court with Polanski.

Curiously, she has since joined in with friends and business associates, rallying for his exoneration.

Actions speak louder than words, but $$$ scream out for celebrity justice!

Lindsay Lohan...arrest warrant issued! Heh, turn yourself in, baby...

Crime of lewd bod in a public place, perchance?

Ooops!

Looks like sexy siren Lindsay Lohan is not out of the woods yet (or at least the Beverly Hills) in respect to past D.U.I. woes and subsequent wranglings with the tony enclave's finest!

In fact, Beverly Hills Police issued an arrest warrant Friday, arising from her 2007 conviction for driving while under the influence.

Although a spokesperson for the Department declined to state the reason for the issuance of the warrant, I expect Lindsay failed to follow through on a pesky legal obligation to the court.

Who knows at this juncture!

Lindsay, you'd better get your butt down to the local pokie.

It's no walk-in-the-park to be dragged out of your high-end auto, and gruffly man-handled by some butch dyke as you're hand-cuffed in public (come to think of it, Lindsay, 'ya might like it, eh?), and subjected to extreme humiliation before gawking lookie-loo's in the mean streets of Los Angeles.

"It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter can be resolved in a timely manner," Lieutenant Mark Rosen said in a prepared statement.

In 2007, Lohan wiled away about an hour-and-fourteen minutes behind bars on a drunk-driving and cocaine-possession conviction, before she was sprung free on bail to face the charges.

Poor Lindsay, she's no stranger to drama!

During a dizzying car chase in the seaside town of Santa Monica, the popular actress lost control of her vehicle, then wrecked the high-end auto in ritzy Beverly Hills amid a glare of publicity.

Right about now, Lindsay's gal pal must be belting out a gusty tune.

"My baby does the hanky-panky!"

Oh, yeah!
