Last year, I posted an expose on WORDPRESS when webmasters at that site attempted to illegally censure me - with the aim of silencing my "voice" - which resulted in a violation of my rights.

Consequently, I refrained from contributing posts to their web pages in the months that followed.

However, it came to my attention - that in spite of the fact I basically "abandoned" the site - WORDPRESS was continuing to publish my feature articles on the Internet without my permission.

In addition, e-mails I received daily, verified that a large number of surfers on the World Wide Web were still posting messages on the site expecting a response back from MOI!

For this reason, I elected to give WORDPRESS a second chance, with the sincere intention of healing old wounds, potential misunderstandings, and what-have-you.

For the past few months, I posted a number of articles at my pop culture blog, without problem.

Then, last night - out-of-the-blue - WORDPRESS archived the blog without notice or stating on what legitimate (legal) grounds the action was being taken against my feature articles.

Talk about unprofessional unethical (illegal) conduct on the Internet!

Curiously, the "black out" took place on the heels of a post I published on Egypt (and the uprising in the Middle East in recent days).

In retrospect, it is obvious to me now that WORDPRESS has tried to silence my thoughts on the conflicts.

In sum, WORDPRESS is not only being run by radicals these days - but outright a**holes!

I'd say - "string 'em up by the balls - but (the truth of the matter is) they don't have any!

Bottom line?

They know where they can put their rinky-dink blog site!

Avoid WORDPRESS like the plague.

A tome written with WordPress gang of losers in mind!

For the past few months, I have been dickering about whether to continue posting my blog entries at the WordPress web pages, due to frustrating problems that hinder the authoring process at the rinky-dink blogger outfit.

For starters, there are quite a few glitches which make the posting of an article a very time-consuming frustrating proposition.

For example, on occasion when I attempt to transfer a post from another site to WordPress, right-off-the-bat, the article publishes willy-nilly about the page without any rhyme or reason.

When I attempt to tackle the problem - by painstakingly lining up images and paragraphs manually - the precise edits often do not take.

So, I am forced to start the editing process once again, with the hope that the post will eventually publish in a coherent professisonal manner.

On occasion, I have been forced to edit at least six times, without coming close to the end result I am trying to achieve, from an artistic standpoint.

In the final analysis, more often than not, I am forced to settle for less than perfect.

Conseqeuntly - I worry that my credibility (and reputaton) as a writer, blogger, and artist are at risk.

The experience is especially upsetting since the fault lies with WordPress's cheap under-developed software that literally blows!

To make matters worse, WordPress does not have spell check at the site, either.

Duh!

So, bloggers are forced to copy the post into a program like "word" - effect the changes when necessary - then, painstakingly transfer the material back to the edit bay at WordPress.

It is wholly conceivable at this juncture, that when the post is published, the material will scramble on the page (due to incompatability problems) - and thus - require another  fresh edit (or two or three or...).

Damn!

To review a post (when considering a potential edit for a myriad of legitimate reasons) the blogger is also forced to wait three or four minutes for the article to be dredged up (from God knows where) before the editing process can commence.

Again, a precious waste of man hours, for sure!

The automatic image and video clip installer often malfunctions, too, which means the photograph, drawing, or film clip must be diligently inserted by hand instead.

Nothwithstanding these glaring snafus, it should be noted for the record, that WordPress is assaulted daily by spam (which is annoying constant to deal with as well).

Although a blogger may install spam-blocker software for free - a multitude of comments and requests for legitimate links that I am anxious to receive - are scooped up and lumped in with the spam, too.

So, the glitch requires that I sift through all the data that has been blocked to ensure I don't miss a communication I may be interested in receiving (and/or posting) at the Pop Culture site I author.

For months, in spite of the frustrations, I hung in there because of my  loyal readers who apparently have gotten a tad addicted to my blog and its daily musings (judging by the traffic).

Then, another ugly problem reared its ugly head, which prompted me to call it quits.

In recent weeks, WordPress violated bloggers' rights to free speech - when they blocked the publishing of posts by a posse of intelligent upstarts (without legal notice or right to due process) whose opinions they disagreed with - until they managed to coerce the authors into penning the same kind of irrelvant old crap their nerdy (untalented) house-writers were inclined to vomit out daily ad nauseam

Well, that was the final straw, in my estimation.

I drive traffic to the WordPress site daily.

If those losers at that rinky-dink blog site think they're going  to censore me - or any of my post pals at the WordPress website - they are sorely mistaken.

In fact, at this point, they'd have to pay me big bucks to make any future creative contribution to their site - which essentially sucks big time - at this juncture.

So, Amigos - and die-hard fans at WordPress - take note.

WordPress...discriminates! Engages in unlawful censorship & Violates blogger rights!

In the beginning there was the word!

(WordPress under false impression they created it)

Over at WordPress bloggers are grumbing that management is "playing God" - the end result being - that the privilege to post an article may be unjustly denied without proper legal notice simply because an individual in the employ of the blog site doesn't agree with what the author has penned at their site.

Also, because of WordPress's lack knowledge  in respect to binding State & Federal laws, bloggers have suffered the loss of the rights guaranteed them under the1st Amendment and the Bill of Rights..

Specifically - the highly unethical & illegal conduct of staff at Wordpress - not only amounts to a denial of the right to free speech - but also the right to due process (a fair hearing).

I suppose this is what happens when a gaggle of computer geeks start up a company without a clue!

Well, they may be in for a rude life-shattering shock.

One blogger I am in touch with is inclined to file a lawsuit for damages!

How do you like them apples, dudes?

Bloggers...abandoning blogs according to New York Times! Misleading info...

I would be remiss if I did not respond to the New York Times article just recently in which a reporter asserted that bloggers were abandoning their sites in droves. (06/07/09)

For starters, some of the reporter's statements were terribly misleading.

According to the journalist, one source - Technorati (the largest blog site in the world) - alleged that blogs were sitting idle and not being updated on a regular basis.

Although that bold-faced statement warranted a follow-up interview with at least a blogger or two to confirm the facts - the reporter was inclined to accept Technorati's observations as true.

In this instant case, the lack of journalistic ethic on the part of the writer, has left egg on the face of the New York Times staff.

The truth of the matter is that Technorati has been experiencing quite a few ongoing glitches at their site which account for the reason a handful of bloggers may have been reluctant to follow through in recent days.

For example, when I first signed up with Technorati, my blog posts at google's Blogspot (The Tattler) and WordPress (Pop Culture) were pinged on a daily basic; consequently, my material was always current and up-to-date.

So, time-sensitive notices about local and National events - and spur of-the-moment news flashes - were published quickly enough for readers to act upon them.

However, in recent weeks Technorati has been experiencing a number of technical problems which they have not been very quick to fix in spite of their professional obligation to do so.

Specifically, it should be noted in my own instant case, that although I wrote daily posts for weeks-on-end - on more than one occasion - Technorati falsely reported that no new posts had been published for days!

On those occasions did Technorati staff incorrectly assume I abandoned my blogs, too?

No wonder their data is out-of-whack!

Notwithstanding the aforementioned, once the flaws in the Technorati software came to my attention, I began to ping the posts daily since the automated system was not reliable from the get-go.

In spite of that dedicated effort on my part to ensure readers would receive all updated posts in a timely fashion, Technorati still managed to prevent material posting in a timely manner (sometimes for durations of twelve or thirteen days).

To make matters worse, Technorati's site crashes often, which adds to the frustration.

When a blogger attempts to log in, a bizarre message - The Monster got loose - may flash across the screen and instruct the individual to try back later (without any explanation).

Also, I can't count the number of times I have logged in to my account and received the startling message that my blog (The Tattler) didn't exist!

Duh!

As to the other issues raised by the New York Times?

The reporter asserted in the article that bloggers were abandoning their blogs because they were frustrated by the fact their arduous efforts were not panning out in spite of the fact they busted their butts - with the ultimate aim - of being "discovered".

For instance, the reporter surmised that because book deals (bloggers were eagerly anticipating) were not forthcoming - and fame did not come knocking on their door with a promise of untold overnight - that disenchanted bloggers were opting to jump ship.

If that was/is the case for many - who are now seeking recognition elsewhere because of their failed attempts on the Internet - the truth of the matter is that a multitude of artists over the years (in a myriad of fields of creative expression) have similarly offered up their talents in a non-paying capacity with the express hope they would be catapulted into the spotlight.

For example, comics have often signed up for open-mike night at celebrated nightclubs, with the express hope that a talent scout in the audience might recognize their talent - and ultimately - land 'em gainful employment.

Actors have also been known to perform on stage in equity-waiver theatres - to specifically showcase their talent - in order to land a starring role in a major production on Broadway or in a feature film.

All things considered, it appears that the New York Times really screwed up on this one!

Elizabeth Liang...uses strong-arm tactics & harassment to force press to use publicity materials & coerce good reviews!

When "All About Eve" first flickered up on the big screen decades ago, the back-stabbing high-stakes world of show business - and the theatre, in particular - became known to stage buffs near and far as a treacherous haven for bruised egos, badly-behaving Divas, and unscrupulous gold-digging glory hogs grasping for the brass ring in Hollywood.

Well, they surely lurk in the shadows at the Chalk Repertory Theatre company in my experience, at-the-ready to bite the hand that feeds 'em, and try their hand at playing Brutus!

Oh, what a classless troupe of nasty bast**ds!

For example, a few weeks ago I penned a couple of upbeat posts for the Hollywood Forever Cemetery to promote theatrical events at the staid Hollywood memorial park.

Shortly thereafter, one of the managers in charge of the resting place for a handful of Hollywood notables - Tyrone Power and Rudolph Valentino, for instance - zipped off a press release to notify me that a space renovated on the grounds - the Masonic Lodge - was going to house a new troupe to be henceforth known as the Chalk Repertory Theatre Company.

I was invited to attend a launch party where the "founding mothers" proceeded to gleefully toast guests and announce their first production of the season.

The staging of 3 Sisters by Anton Chekhov was going to be a unique theatrical experience, they promised!

Since I am always interested in promoting local Theatre Groups, Movie Houses down-on-their-luck, and other community-related events that warrant good press, I penned a beautiful post to help their project along and bring it to the attention of my readers.

When I attended the premiere, however, I was disappointed.

In fact, the production was so amateurish, that I was inclined to be kind and forgo on writing a review.

Then, something odd occurred.

Out-of-the-blue, a woman by the name of Elizabeth Liang contacted me by e-mail, made some wild allegations, and then proceeded to demand that I make edits to my promo post (which I found not only inappropriate, but unethical, and downright annoying).

In response, I politely informed the hair-brained twit, that I was not in the habit of handing the reins of editorial control over to any third party and rejected her menacing overtures.

At this point, the woman went off-the-handle and made a series of threats, so I blocked all future incoming e-mail communications.

In retrospect it appears that she was in "league" with the Chalk Repertory Theatre troupe who were not happy with the promo post because I did not facilitate the use of publicity materials provided by their PR person.

Tough ti**y.

Once it was evident that I would not budge, Ms. Liang and actors at the Chalk Rep troupe hatched up a twisted plot to undermine the blog post, force their will - and ultimately - try to damage my name and reputation with third parties.

On the premise that I was utilizing materials I was not entitled to for 3 Sisters, Liang and her red-neck ruffians, contacted Wordpress and made a number of false and misleading statements to turn the blog spot against me.

Unfortunately, the gentleman they contacted (Mark, who preferred not to provide a last name) didn't have much of an IQ and was unfamiliar with State & Federal Laws pertaining to the matters at issue.

Subsequently, he lamely jumped into the fray without checking the facts and proceeded to Violate my Rights and engage in wrongful illegal conduct, all to my damage.

In response, I zipped off an e-mail citing applicable laws (and arguments in support), and chastised him for engaging in such reprehensible irresponsible conduct that was in Violation of my rights.

At this juncture, "Mark" made some bald-faced claims - which sounded preposterous to me - and actually tried to throw the blame on an agency he claimed was basically above-the-law that he was bound to legally kow-tow to.

Needless to say, he whined in his e-mail that unless he took action he'd have to face liability.

Ha!

Within twenty-four hours, by virtue of his own conflicting statements and actions - and bolstered by incriminating evidence that was piling up the minute in my corner - I managed to establish that the silly moron misrepresented the facts and engaged in deceitful and dishonest conduct - and a nasty cover-up - to avoid blame for his wrongful illegal conduct at Wordpress.

I also pointed out for the record, that if what he said were true, I would have to take appropriate legal action to correct the obvious wrong.

After all, if something is broke - an intelligent individual doesn't ignore the problem - they try to fix it.

Of course, shrinking violets like Mark - without any ba**s to speak of - would prefer to just wimp out!

Notwithstanding the aforementioned, it was also obvious to me when the WordPress employee failed to provide vital information I requested that I was legally entitled to, that he was handing me a heapload of bullsh**.

Also, Mark openly and actively engaged in an ongoing conspiracy when he contacted the troupe at Chalk Repertory Theatre behind my back, and thereafter, secretly proceeded to do their bidding.

Once I put two and two together - and came up with skulduggery - I sent an e mail to Ms. Liang and advised her in no uncertain terms that if she continued to slander, libel, or defame me, I would sue for damages.

I also enlightened her to another serious reality.

Her conduct over the stretch of a few days amounted to threats and harassment; in view of this, I vowed to Ms. Liang that if she did not cease and desist, I would file a criminal complaint against her with Law Enforcement.

Then, something curious happened.

I began to receive a series of annoying anonymous e-mails as unknown individuals engaged in rapid-fire attempts to publish posts on my blog site in support of Liang and the theatre company.

From the nature of the content, it was obvious to any fool, who put the scurrilous individuals up to their outrageous disturbing conduct.

But, one message was the tip off.

In that communication, I was informed (again by an anonymous coward) that as long as there were good reviews of the production, no one would mind my use of the material originally objected to.

A-ha!

They were trying to coerce me into penning a glowing review!

I expect the evidence in my possession (saved for future reference) is sufficient to bring a criminal action against the parties on charges of coercion, implied threats, and attempted extortion.

After all, I do not respond well to threats, harassment, and intimidation tactics.

Needless to say, in view of the circumstances, I penned a review.

I don't expect it was the one Chalk Repertory Theatre was pining for, though!

Obviously, when you consider a comment an anonymous scoundrel tried to publish the afternoon the stinko run-down of their production was posted on my blog.

"You're a meanie," they lamented.

Ah, the Chalk Rep Theatre troupe and Ms. Liang don't know the half of it.

They fu**ed with the wrong person!

In view of what transpired over the past few days with demented Chalk Rep Theatre actors - and the diabolical Ms. Liang - I am inclined to refer to the production with a title that is more apropros under the circumstances.

3 C**ts, for instance.

Dykes on Bikes, Mark Wahlberg, Harry Potter gay spoof...rack up hits!

One of the features at WordPress I have particularly warmed up to is the blog stats function.

If a blogger is wondering how it is that web surfers unceremoniously arrived at his or her doorstep, the savvy blogster has only to check a special section of the logs to determine which "search words" were used to locate the site.

Also, since WordPress automatically matches up blog posts with related stories of interest, it is immensely intriguing to use a little detective work and fathom the links that hooked up the mercurial Internet seekers to your posts.

Another feature is pretty practical, too.

A WordPress filter senses when a spam post is being attempted and summarily places it into a holding pattern or queue until the blog owner has the opportunity to okay it or not.

For example, after I posted a feature on Erotica LA this weekend, my site was inundated with ads, videos, and promos for porno web sites!

I was able to select the best ones - um - weed out the nasty little devils and send them off to the recycle bin.

Aw, what waste of succulent erotic flesh, eh?

Most web site owners and bloggers are curious to know how popular their site is and how many clicks they're getting.

Over the past couple of days, for instance, the logs paved the way for me.

A post on Dykes on Bikes (West Hollywood Gay Pride), Mark Wahlberg (shower scene), and a gay video spoof on Harry Potter landed the top hits.

Angelina Jolie scored pretty high as well.

With a little astute analysis it should be obvious to many that this weekend - for some inexplicable reason - the masses around the Nation were horny, titillated by gay sex, and fascinated by butch women on motorcycles.

Only in America!
