Garth Brooks...inducted into Hall of Fame! Gigs at Wynn Resort! June 23rd - June 25th!

On Thursday, Country & Western superstar Garth Brooks was inducted into the 42nd Songwriters "Hall of Fame" by his peers.

Brooks delighted guests when he took the stage with Billy Joel at the chi-chi awards ceremony in NYC (both were clad in chic black cowboy ensembles) and performed a vastly entertaining duet which featured the hit tune "Shameless".

Gracious Brooks was quick to turn the spotlight on Billy Joel, though, which underscored just how humble the celebrated cowpoke can be.

"Billy Joel is one of the greatest songwriters of all time," Brooks gushed in so many words, as the rapt audience gazed on from below the footlights.

The fact that Joel took a day out of his life to saunter onto the stage with Brooks made the C&W performer feel "lucky".

Fans will be, too, in the event they managed to snap up tickets for the Brooks gig about to kick-off at the Wynn Resort later this week.

When Steve Wynn first signed Garth Brooks to the upcoming stint on the strip the show-biz news made headlines around the country.

The lucrative deal left Brooks "sitting pretty" with a host of spoils that lesser-knowns could only pray and fantasize about ever achieving.

For example, a fleet of stretch "Rolls Royce" limousines purring at the curb 24/7 - and luxury jets at-the-ready to take flight on a whim at the drop-of-a-cowboy-hat - are nothing to sniff at.

How do I hop aboard, Mr. Wynn?

Paris Hilton...banned from Vegas Resort! Steve Wynn shame!

Only a stoned babe would pluck up a fashion disaster such as this

On the heels of the highly-publicized "cocaine' bust on Friday - heiress Paris Hilton - has been informed by Hotel Management that she is banned from venturing on Wynn properties on the glitzy Vegas strip in the near-or-distant future.

If you ask me, Steve Wynn jumped the gun.

His rush to judgment may prove to be an embarrassment in view of the facts.

For starters, Ms. Hilton has sworn up-and-down that the purse was borrowed from a pal - and that subsequently - the drugs seized by the men-in-blue that fateful night were not hers.

In an interesting twist to the intriguing scandal, the young woman who allegedly lent the designer bag to Paris, has laid claim to a stash of cash in excess of $1,000.00 also found in the inside confines of the wayward purse right alongside the mysterious vial of cocaine.

Curious, that!

I expect that if the case is finger-printed, the true culprit's identity will come to light.

Provided the police didn't botch the evidence, along the chain of command, that is.

Did the arresting officers carefully package the evidence to ensure its integrity was maintained during the course of the evening before it was placed in a lock-up box?

Or, did a sloppy copper obliterate all the fingerprints - thus ensuring that Ms. Hilton - remains "on the hook" for the alleged crime of possession?

As to Mr. Wynn -  in case he wasn't aware of the obvious - an individual is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by their peers.

Not, by a lynch mob, Sir!

Steve Wynn...Beach Club at Wynn Resort may boost traffic & sales!

A few months ago, amidst all the hoopla of the approaching grand opening of Aria, a wrecking ball began knocking down walls at the front end of Steve Wynn’s resort Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The mercurial entrepreneur - a mainstay on the Vegas scene - wasn’t going to be left behind!

Wynn announced that he was pumping several million dollars into renovations with the specific aim of creating a swanky Beach Club.

When I cruised by Wynn’s Encore early this afternoon, and spied the almost-finished play spa, it struck me that Steve was either a great visionary or just managed to luck out on a good idea that was going to transform his resort from the image of an exclusive Ivory Tower beyond reach of the common masses to one that would have a more widespread appeal to regular tourists, businessmen on-the-go, you name it.

For example, Wynn’s original Hotel was set back off the main thoroughfare, and not easily accessible from the strip.

Patrons trundling down the strip on a pub crawl were forced to take a long jog up a curving drive - as they dodged a fleet of elegant Rolls Royces - chauffeuring the rich and mighty in-and-out of the tony establishment.

A bit off-putting for the regular Joe.

Because Wynn has fronted the Beach Club right on the Vegas Strip the Resort will obviously be transformed in many respects as a result.

Undoubtedly, Mr. Wynn will be rustling up a lot of street traffic, which will boost sales and the overall popularity of the Wynn.

Wynn Encore...special rates with Invitation code! Tony resort beckons...

Last year I attended the opening of the Wynn Encore in Las Vegas amid all the hoopla.

On that occasion, I bumped into Mrs. Wynn in the Casino, who turned out  to be a charming elegant woman.

Since that occasion, I have dropped in to the Wynn Resort on a multitude of occasions, trying my hand at the slots for starters!

I was so taken with the beautiful garden setting at the main entrance (featuring a waterfall and exotic plants) that I posted a handful of HD Videos to show off the landscaper's remarkable "green" effort in recent months.

Elaine Wynn...Vegas Royalty to divorce! News boosts blog hits on the town's Hostess with mostest...

Steve & Elaine Wynn are going for an "Encore".



Yup, the much-married childhood sweethearts, will call it quits once again.



The power couple - oft referred to as Vegas Royalty - first tied the knot way back in 1963.



Then, divorced Vegas-style in 1986.



But, the unpredictable winsome two-some took vows for a second time in 1991.



The second time around must have been a charm!



On the heels of "I do", Elaine not only became active in the family business, but a regular scene-stealer on the Las Vegas charity and social circuit.



In cozier days, dotting husband Steve lavished extravagant gifts on the object of his affection.



On one occasion, for instance, the Hotelier surprised the former beauty Queen with the deed to the Desert Inn Hotel!



Mr. Wynn (who is Chief Executive officer of the The Las Vegas-based casino company) reported $210.2 million in net income for 2008.



And, Elaine Wynn (66) is a director on the company's board.



To prevent a crush of nosey newsies from thumbing through the dirty linen, the Judge presiding over the proceedings was inclined to seal all confidential court documents on file.



Hence, curious onlookers have been unable to ascertain who is divorcing who, and why!



Was the split amicable, or is there an iron-clad prenuptial agreement lurking in the vault?



According to data compiled from Securities and Exchange Commission documents, Steve and Elaine each own approximately 24 million shares in Wynn Resorts.



Their stakes were worth about $468 million on Tuesday when the bell rang at the close of the markets.



If you recall, Elaine Wynn graced my 10 Best-Dressed Women's list for 2008.

In my estimation, her status in the realms of the fashion elite now (even if I do say so myself) certainly calls for special consideration by the Judge which should equate to $$$.



After all, now that Elaine has been crowned Best-Dressed, she has an image to uphold and maintain - not only in the public eye - but amid the horsey-set she rides astride of.



Steve, don't be stingy, the lady deserves the best!
