Prince William & Kate Middleton...honeymooned in Seychelles island paradise! Royals took press by surprise!

All the eyes of the world weren't on the island paradise of Seychelles over the past ten days.

Pooh!

Had they been, keen-eyed amateur sleuths may have stumbled on some curious goings-on in the tiny remote resort ripe for a telephoto lens or two and the supermarket tabloids.

For good reason!

The locale was the exotic setting where a sly Royal couple honeymooned, after all!

Prince William and Kate Middleton managed to slip the noose - and with the help of the Coast Guard - relax in the tropical paradise known for its breathtaking beauty.

God's country, alright!

"They left happy and clearly content with their stay," beamed an Official in charge of the Seychelles Tourist Board who witnessed the famous lovebirds departure on Friday.

Meanwhile, back at home in Jolly Old England, St. Jame's Palace confirmed that Wills & Kate had returned to Britain after some much-needed sun, sand and surf.

"Prince William and Kate Middleton thoroughly enjoyed their time together and they are grateful to the Seychelles Government for their assistance in making the honeymoon such a memorable and special ten days," a spokesperson announced in a brief statement to the press a short while ago.

"The people of Seychelles are truly honored that Prince William and his wife chose to return to Seychelles for this special holiday and we are proud to have been able to offer them a peaceful and private getaway," another chirped.

Seychelles is situated among a string of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean about 1,000 miles off the east coast of Kenya.

"We hope their stay was everything they had hoped for and we look forward to welcoming them back to our shores again in the future," the spokesperson chirped.

On the last day of their holiday the royal couple invited the coast guard ashore to personally thank them for their efforts in securing their privacy during the course of their stay.

Uh-huh!

Celebrated snoops missed the scoop of the century!

Orbitz...oil spill prompts "Open Beach Guarantee" for travellers!

Orbitz has drummed up an idea to ensure that tourists planning on travelling to a vacation spot in the Gulf are protected in the event the oil spill seeps into their resort destination just before they are about to touch down for their holiday.

Individuals who make a hotel booking (hotel-air packages not included) at a participating property in Florida can get a full refund (for travel thru July 31st) if the Government closes a beach within twenty miles of the resort or declares it dangerous.

The "Open Beach Guarantee" may be perused for specific details at the booker's web site.

Las Vegas...sizzles at 110 degrees! Tropical heat wave...

Tropicana poolside!

The word is out!

Las Vegas is currently experiencing a tropical heat wave.

Today, for example, the mercury is expected to soar to 110 degrees with no relief in sight.

News anchors were blitzing the air waves at the crack-of-dawn with tips on how to cope.

"If you're feeling thirsty, you're already dehydrated," one pretty reporter warned.

Although six to eight glasses of cool refreshing water is recommended normally, many have  urged that the intake be increased, to at least eight to ten full glasses.

Other suggestions?

*Wear a sunhat
*Slap on some quality sunscreen
*Avoid strenuous physical activities in the mid-afternoon sun

And, don't forget your pet!

*Be wary of hot ashphalt pavement that may burn paws
*Keep all pets well-hydrated
*Avoid locking up the animals in the car

Enjoy!

Encore...Wynn's Beach club blow-out! Paris Hilton big draw...

A couple of weeks ago, I reported that Wynn’s spanking new Beach Club was on the verge of throwing its doors open-wide just in time to kick-off amidst the summer madness now descending on the exotic desert oasis.

Wynn did not disappoint (in spite of the fact he’s been busy in the courts lodging causes of action for slander against one particularly disreputable individual that picked a fight with the Hotelier in recent days).

On the Memorial Day weekend holiday, excited revelers plunked down cold hard cash (Males coughed up a $40 cover; their female counterparts $30) just to get in the packed watering hole to get a thirst-quenching cocktail and lookie-loo.

By midnight, the cover soared to $100 for those anxious to catch site of Celebrity Hostess Paris Hilton and a couple of local bands hired on to entertain the thronging masses.

Management excitedly gushed that it was quite the blow-out.

An estimated 17,000 guests sauntered into the champagne-soaked soiree - some toasting each other until the crack of dawn - according to Wynn insiders.

Steve Wynn’s team boasted that their expectations were high - and believe it or not - they were exceeded admirably.

The chic elite - and even the common Joe - are touting the Beach Club as a one-of-a-kind wonder that is a must-see.

In fact, normally jaded jet-setters, were tooting Steve Wynn’s horn.

“There’s nothing like this (the beach club) in the world.”

Performances by Ne-Yo and LMFAO thoroughly entertained the discriminating crowd.

Judging by guest reactions, Paris Hilton still enthralls all in her angelic wake!

See ‘ya there

Steve Wynn...Beach Club at Wynn Resort may boost traffic & sales!

A few months ago, amidst all the hoopla of the approaching grand opening of Aria, a wrecking ball began knocking down walls at the front end of Steve Wynn’s resort Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The mercurial entrepreneur - a mainstay on the Vegas scene - wasn’t going to be left behind!

Wynn announced that he was pumping several million dollars into renovations with the specific aim of creating a swanky Beach Club.

When I cruised by Wynn’s Encore early this afternoon, and spied the almost-finished play spa, it struck me that Steve was either a great visionary or just managed to luck out on a good idea that was going to transform his resort from the image of an exclusive Ivory Tower beyond reach of the common masses to one that would have a more widespread appeal to regular tourists, businessmen on-the-go, you name it.

For example, Wynn’s original Hotel was set back off the main thoroughfare, and not easily accessible from the strip.

Patrons trundling down the strip on a pub crawl were forced to take a long jog up a curving drive - as they dodged a fleet of elegant Rolls Royces - chauffeuring the rich and mighty in-and-out of the tony establishment.

A bit off-putting for the regular Joe.

Because Wynn has fronted the Beach Club right on the Vegas Strip the Resort will obviously be transformed in many respects as a result.

Undoubtedly, Mr. Wynn will be rustling up a lot of street traffic, which will boost sales and the overall popularity of the Wynn.

Good on you, Steve!

Swimsuits (Spring 2010)...sizzlin' hot threads for coolin' down at the beach!

The mercury is rising in the downtown streets of Frisco as residents - and tourists alike - trot off to a spa or Hotel pool (or one of the pristine beaches nearby) to cool down and catch a few rays.

But, the discerning social butterfly, is not about to don last year's water-logged worn-out "look".

Especially, in view of the fact designer swimwear on the market right now, is apt to set a true trendsetter apart from the tawdry struggling masses.

Besides, a sexy come-hither look isn't going to cut it on its lonesome, honey!

There are a myriad of scintillating offerings for the ladies - one pieces, bikini-style stunners, stringie-thingies that take the breath away - you name it.

But, the big emphasis is on splashy eye-catching colors boosted  up with bright bold-faced designs etched beautifully on fabrics that sheath, hug, flaunt - well - you get the idea.

Men will be in-the-face, too, and not just kicking up sand, baby!

Confident strident macho guys will be slipping into speedo-style trunks that show-off the package.

Or, lounging about in surfer-style boxers that double as wave-catchers or sporty shorts that emphasize a dude's signature style (on the beach and off).

The suits pictured  here - courtesy of Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, & Aussiebau - are sure to make a big splash as summer turns the corner into full glory a few weeks from now.

Surfs up!

Las Vegas...Steve Wynn jazzing up Encore! Surf''s up...

I imagine myself in this hammock already!

Steve Wynn is jazzing up Encore!

I was out for a stroll the other morning when a ghastly mess on the strip caught my eye.

Up-front and center, outside the Encore Hotel complex - one construction crew was erecting unsightly chain-link fences and overly-bright hard plastic barriers to create a pedestrian walkway - as another shovelled up debris from a low-level structure that a wrecking ball had smashed into smithereens.

Wasn't this parcel of land owned by Steve Wynn?

At one section of the block where two-ton trucks rumbled in and out of a make-shift entrance, I spied a worker within arm's length of me, so I decided to go to the horse's mouth for information so-to-speak.

"Isn't this part of the Encore Hotel property owned by Wynn," I innocently asked the surprised female construction worker.

"Uh-huh," she grumbled back.

"He (we all know who he is, right?) is tearing down this section to put in an 18 million-dollar beach club," she shouted above he rising din.

"'Wow," was about the only response I could muster on the heels of such staggering news.

A beach club for 18 million smackeroos?

At this juncture, I put my thinking cap on.

Does Mr. Wynn intend to fabricate a beach setting - complete with rolling waves and warm sand  oozing between the toes - to jazz up the Hotel complex a tad?

I expect he'll also be simulating the soothing sounds of the surf as it crashes oh-so-gently on the shore at Wynn's Beach.

True, the interior of the Encore is sumptuous and inviting.

But, with exception to the waterfall and grounds brimming with lush foliage, the overall outdoor image of Encore and the sister Hotel at the complex, is nothing short of the plain-Jane variety.

Moreso, me thinks that Mr. Wynn doesn't hanker up to the idea of being left in the cold.

The Aria and Mandarin Hotels (about to swing open their doors at the CityCenter this Wednesdayon  Dec. 16th) will probably steal alot of Mr. Wynn's thunder in coming days.

Even with Garth Brooks under his house wing, the Encore is vulnerable to rapidly-changing resort trends, that are luring the tourist class, "whales", and European travellers, doww new boulevards and eye-catching vistas in sin city.

Cut-rate "room sales" online are also taking a bite out of potential revenue as well.

So, Mr. Wynn - visionary that he is - has obviously hatched up a scheme to guarantee his place in the sun alongside the big players in the Desert Oasis.

Well, you Wynn some, and 'ya lose sum.

It will be interesting to see how the transformation pans out for the mercurial Wynn, and translates into greenbacks, eh?

Brazil...hello! Welcome to my blog, eh?

This morning when I flicked on the old PC and logged in, as usual, I checked the blog stats.

Whoa, nellie!

Overnight, there was a big surge in web surfers from Brazil!

What caused the sudden interest in my blog overnight in that exotic far-away land?

Did the Hugh Jackman photo montage arouse some erotic fantasies?

Or, maybe the revelation about Prince William's nude royal phallus caused a few hearts to pound a little faster?

Then again, it may have been the feature on Twilight heart-throb - Robert Pattinson - that revved up their engines.

For those of you unfamiliar with the breathtaking country, I've put together a kaleidescope of images to entice you to the land of romance and adventure!

Swimsuits...for sizzlin' hot daze in sun! Fashion 2008.

Ah, the lazy days of summer are upon us.

And, fathoming a big splash under the sizzlin' mid-day sun may require a bit of fashion savvy.

The confident male animal will be strutting about the beach - and kickin' up sand - in sleek, snug, sexy suits in a myriad of enticing rich colors that add zesty pick-up to even the heartiest of hang-over doldrums this season.

For the adventurous dude the gamut may run from retro inspirations to boxer-inspired baggies and surfer chic.

For women, the key word is "skimpy".

And, eye-catching hues like Fuchsia take center stage.

Of course, a woman with discerning style may take a bolder fashion step forward in jewel tones - emerald, purple and sapphire blue - for instance.

Ah, the right palette to strike accord throughout the upcoming season.

But, for the fashion adventurous, there are a wild array of snazzy geometrics, pretty prints, and tactile offerings in metallic bling; crowd-leasers, sure to engender a stand out fashion statement amid the beach throngs.

A classic black swimsuit (pictured below) will always garner favor in mixed circles - after all - they're simple but always elegant.

Or be bold - strike out on your own - with a pretty little black halter-neck one-piece. Magic time!

While there is a return to the classic one-piece - solid or two-tone - cut-outs, monokinis, and stylish maillots will be out front sparking chit-chat at poolside and shorelines around the country.

While lower leg lines embracing a retro look may appeal to sum (that's okay), the big attention-getters are the skimpier, bikini models, similar to those posted here.

Saunter into the daze of summer with style, eh?
