For die-hard fans who loyally follow the spectacular Cirque du Soleil stage performances the magic surely continues!
The curtain has just run up on the troupe's latest offering - Zarkana - a $50 million production that wowed all in attendance on opening night Wednesday of this past week at NYC's prestigious Radio City Music Hall.
A staggering 75 talented performers parades across the stage during the course of the evening as the main character - Zark - struggles to regain his powers in an intriguing surreal plane of existence inhabited by a gang of multi-dimensional bizarre creatures.

A couple of weeks ago, I penned a review of a PBS Special - which featured a young songbird by the name of Jackie Evancho - who placed second in a karaoke-style talent show on the old boob tube last season.

Although I did rave about her range, I was inclined to point out that as a stage performer the little "angel" left a lot to be desired (in a nutshell).
With maturity, and proper coaching, I expect the young chanteuse will reach her true potential one day.
On the heels of the critique, her fans were livid!
Judging by a few of the responses, anyway, which were quite hateful (and irrational).
If you thought the "Grobanites" were wacko over Josh Groban - well - the Jackie-O's take the whole "fan worship" thing to a bizarre level of lunacy.
Notwithstanding, not one irate reader was capable of intelligently articulating their rage in any meaningful or constructive way, in the wake of the critique.
When her fans attempted to post comments "anonymously" at the Tattler, the deceitful behaviour spoke volumes to moi!
Cowards!
By the way - Happy 4th of July - eh?

Whew!
Yesterday, it was like a steaming-hot oven on the strip in Las Vegas!
In fact - outside - the mercury soared to 111 whopping degrees.
"The hottest day of the year," some weatherman reported, while inside tourists and locals alike scurried indoors to escape the sweltering uncomfortable heatwave.
But, a different dilemma awaited 4th of July revelers inside the packed Casinos, sleek malls, and comfy Hotel lobbies.
Uh-huh!
The air-conditioning was so high the experience was downright chilling.
Was there no balance "in between" to found anywhere?
Fortunately, storm clouds drifted in this morning and the sizzle was off.
In fact, weathermen (and women!) are predicting there may be torrential afternoon thundershowers.
If so, I'll be out "singing and dancing" in the rain.
With a nod to Gene Kelly, of course!

Are Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore heading for splits-ville?
The body language in a slew of publicity stills lately appears to hint that all is not well - or a bed of roses - between the once-happy lovebirds.
Has Ashton's role on "Two And a Half Men" (he's working and she's not) put a strain on the once-cozy cougar-boy-toy relationship?
Or, have the paparazzi just caught 'em off-guard now and then, in an off-moment?

Prince Albert of Monaco has great taste in babes, eh?

Prince Albert of Monaco tied the knot in a quiet Civil Ceremony yesterday to be followed up today with a splashy - jubilant - Royal Wedding to be attended by respected Heads of State, a smattering of luminaries from the glittering climbs of Hollywood (his mother's old stomping grounds), and - of course - a parade of Royals from around the globe who jetted in to the principality to toast the - um - happy couple.
Uh-huh!
The private exchange of vows on July 1st - golly - was quite a somber event (according to eyewitnesses).
Did the bride actually hold back a tear?
Gossips say she bit her lip, for sure!
Apparently on the eve of the blessed event - the once-beaming commoner - was dealt a terrible passionate blow.
Although Prince Albert publicly acknowledged he fathered at least two illegitimate children with gal pals from his scandal-ridden past - as it turned out - there was still a lot of action between-the-sheets which the Prince had yet to fess up about on the eve of their betrothal.
Not exactly a virgin, eh?
Gosh, for a man gossip-mongers have swore up-and-down for years was "gay", Prince Albert sure has been prolific in bed with women, I dare say.
But, back to the soap opera!
Stunned by the naughty news - OMG - his wife-to-be (pretty Charlene Wittstock of South Africa allegedly secretly purchased a one-way ticket back to nowhere in a bold-faced effort to steal away under the cover of darkness (never to return to the quaint Principality ever again).
How dramatic!
In the 11th hour, Prince Albert was able to sweet-talk his lover into strolling down the aisle, instead.
Perhaps he tore up the pre-nuptial agreement?
Or, just maybe, gifted her with a fabulous bauble so she'd kiss and make up?
There's something about the "Family Jewels" that charms, after all.
Needless to say, that's all water (tears mostly) under the Royal bridge now.
I give the marriage five years.
If not, I expect Ms. Wittstock will end up over the side of the canyon with conspiracy theories swirling.
